“Decent Thai take-away at a reasonable price, we've used a few times. I've never bothered with eating in but very busy on a Saturday night which is usually a good sign. They have a good range of options for different tastes, quite a few even vegan dishes. Ordering was quick and simple, staff are good and the delivery didn't take too long. Tasty dishes and delicious spring rolls.”

“Great little cafe. If you fancy something a little different then the Turkish breakfast is worth considering. If you're unbelievably hungry then there's an enormous "free" breakfast. Some 8 sausages and rashers of bacon, eggs galore, a mountain of has browns and a pile of toast as tall as a London bus. If you eat it all in 20 minutes then the is no charge. Otherwise, you pay up. Always friendly service and good value nosh Cash only on a Sunday”

“I travel the length and breath of the country for work. This is place is t standing in its field. Budget pub done so well, the food is spot on every time and in the last year I've eat here lots. Staff are fantastic too, bar one but he maybe shy or a bit special who knows. Any way good beer, great clean food and always busy with locals and people like me just passing through. I see a strong community use which wouldn't be there without the care taken by st...aff and man”

“I took 15 family members to Sarasas in Ruislip today. Everyone left delighted with the food and service. We were given a semi - private area at the back for our party. There was a vast list of dishes to choose from, all delicious. The staff were courteous, attentive and made us feel very welcome. Would recommend for small or larger groups.”

“This independant Pizza shop is the best locally and my preference on the Manor comparing to the others on the same high street. Their dough is freshly made and they always make sure to add any additional request as I have a thing for Jalapeno's on garlic bread and it is always done without hesitation and a smile. The value for money is also amazing. They had become my local Pizza shop since they opened in the Manor and the owner has been there from the start working hard to make sure all his customers are serviced and leave with a smile. “We initially contacted Neil (Against the grain) in April 2021 for designing our new kitchen. Among all the local suppliers, he was the only one who instantly offered to visit our place to take measurements and then discuss our requirements at our home. He came at the exact time promised and spent a good chunk of time understanding us and our lifestyle and our requirements for the kitchen. Ours was slightly more complex as we were moving the kitchen to an adjacent room and we wanted the plumbing works to be least intrusive and the electric works to also be planned well. We also wanted the existing kitchen space to be redesigned as a new spare / guest room. Neil provided us with his design ideas within a week to 10 days of meeting us and he got it bang on at the first attempt. He took in a whole lot of information and converted it into a design that immediately worked for us. We had some minor change requests which he seamlessly integrated into his design. He then further arranged for us to visit the kitchen counter top showrooms for us to pick our counter. He also worked with us in helping select / ordering the sink / taps and other accessories. He kept us up to date with the order progress and started our project on time. There were a couple of minor hiccups procuring the counter tops - but he stayed on top and kept us abreast. His team that worked on site was fantastic and did a thorough job with least intrusion. Neil also ensure that our old kitchen could stay functional till very late. The kitchen was completed more or less on time and was absolutely fantastic - exactly to design - & met our requirements to the tee. Now, months after the kitchen was completed, we continue to enjoy cooking in our new space and are absolutely delighted to have gone with Against the Grain / Neil. Neil also worked with us to redesign the old kitchen space into a new spare room and delivered on the design as well as on the fit. Dan from his team worked on the spare room build and there is nothing we can say that does justice to his absolute brilliant work. Neil also designed and delivered a bespoke wardrobe in another room to very specific requirements. He came up with excellent ideas to our requirement and also sourced and delivered the right product. We also came to know Neil as a person during this time and we have had several interesting conversations with him. He is an absolute delight to do business with - we highly recommend Neil and Against the grain.”

They really do care, they take the time to get to know your child, to encourage them, but at the same time, to let them go at their own pace. We were so upset when his time was cut short there due to Covid-19. He often talks about preschool still, his friends there, the activities they did. I am forever grateful that he had such a lovely start to school and I feel sure it will stand him in good stead in the future.
