The Child Development Centre
● Closed“My son attended the Child Development Centre after we had exhausted all other avenues through the NHS and essentially got nowhere. I am not disparaging the NHS, I think they are marvellous but they do not have the time or resources to fully help our children the way they need help in these circumstances. We had the Centre recommended to us and it has really changed our lives. The relief that someone was finally making sense of our son's behaviour and difficulties that he was having was immense. He would jump and scream at unexpected noises, he would hate any labels in clothes, he would zoom around the house causing mayhem (not deliberately, quite the opposite he was very happy), but we did fear he had ADHD. He was like Tigger from Winnie the Poo, bouncing around everywhere! His concentration was very poor, he was very silly and immature for his age, he wasn't able to sit and watch a DVD, read a book or play with one toy or game for any period of time, he would get bored very easily and be off to play with another toy or game. From a very young age he would have obsessions - firstly the Fire Service and he would not anywhere unless in a full fireman's uniform with a utility belt, he was 4 yrs old at this stage and then it changed to the Police (5yrs old) and then the Army (8yrs old) with each obsession taking over all of our lives in one way or another. One fact we did find interesting was that Dyspraxia often gets misdiagnosed as ADHD. He was diagnosed as having Dyspraxia traits and audio dyslexia. We received a very detailed report which made so much sense in terms of why he was behaving the way he was, but more importantly we started the programme that would definitely change all of our lives for the better. The programme is not a quick fix solution. You need to be dedicated and understand there will be times when it is frustrating and it seems you are making no progress then other times when it accelerate and the changes are amazing. Most people comment that he is like a different boy now and he really is. Once we were able to get rid of the reflexes he had retained the changes became really noticeable. He is so much calmer now, he can concentrate - he reads so many books now which we are delighted at! The screaming when he's startled has stopped and he's even more tolerant to labels! In the beginning we did the on-line checklist on the website and ticked far too many! However, I would highly recommend doing this as it give you a really good idea on whether there is a problem there that needs solving. My husband and I had the conversation about the cost of the treatment and I remember him saying 'this could be the best money we've ever spent' and he was absolutely right, it was. I would highly recommend going for an initial assessment to find out all about it. We originally met David and then Alex continued all of the appointments and treatments with our son. He is excellent with children, very professional with a firm but easy-going manner. If you decide to do it, follow all of the instructions, they really do know what they are talking about and you will get better results by following them to the letter. The programmes are medication free which I loved, this is a totally natural way to help your child be the best they can be!”

Little Treasures Nursery and Pre-school
● Open641A London road, West Thurrock, Grays RM20 3HD, United Kingdom“4 years now we've been apart of Little Treasures, 2 of my children have been lucky enough to have attended this nursery and there's honestly noone I trust with my children more. Over the years we've became very good friends and I have a brilliant relationship with all members of staff, they treat children so well and every child I've seen has been excited to go in for the day. You pick them up at the end of the day knowing they've had fun, are fed and have a brilliant education. The food they serve to the children at meal times is unbelievable, a excellent variety of healthy hearty meals, my daughter doesn't eat veg at home and yet Little Treasures are able to make meals so appetising she'll have a 2nd plate for lunch. Most staff have been at the nursery for years and make you feel very comfortable leaving your child with them all day. Michelle (the manager & owner) of Little Treasures puts her absolute heart into everything she does for the children that attend, nothing is ever too much and If you've got any concerns or queries she's only ever a phone call away. My daughters have had amazing memories made at Little Treasures, my eldest being 5 and currently in reception still talks about nursery and remembers all the staff there as they have made a massive impact in her life. I'll be forever grateful for the experience my little girls were able to have at Little Treasures and I couldn't think of anywhere better to send your child. I'm gutted my 2nd daughters time at Little Treasures is coming to an end however I know they have fully enabled her to go into reception and be ready for her Little adventure she has ahead.”

Perform Amersham
● Open“My children absolutely love Perform. It's giving them a great opportunity to develop their confidence in an incredibly safe and nurturing environment. The producer in Amersham, Jennifer, is absolutely fantastic - she is always very encouraging and positive, and the children love her. My oldest has now been at Perform for nearly three years and I can't see him ever wanting to leave! My youngest only joined recently and is already getting into it. And the little shows they do at the end of each term are great - it's all done in a way that is very encouraging and supportive (lots of cheering and clapping!!), so the kids don't feel intimidated at all.”

Therapy4kids
● Open“My son has been working with therapy 4 kids for 6 or 7 years now and Cara has been brilliant. He has been having physio every week because of mild spastic diplegia and he has never been bored or fed up with what he had to do. Cara has always had the right positive language and the right exercises for my son depending on his weakness at that moment. She always takes time with me after the session to discuss what went well and areas of improvement. Great physio for a child/teenager. We have been very lucky to find her.”

Monique Tobin, Speech and Language Therapist
● Open“We started speech therapy with Monique when our son was 3 and half years old. He was unable to pronounce the sounds s, sh, t, tch, z by itself or in the words. He was slow at speaking, expressing himself and making simple sentences. With Moniques help for almost 1 year, he was able to make amasing progress, increasing his vocabulary and making sentences. She explained to him which part of the mouth the sounds come from so he understood what he needs to do to make the correct sounds. I was able to learn from her effective communication skills that I was using every day with my son to help him change wrong pronunciation habits. Now our son is almost 6 years old, he has been discharged from NHS speech therapy, even though he had not attended any speech therapy for the last year due to lockdown. We were able to support him in learning to pronounce all the sound that he was still struggling with over a year ago (like sh, tch). He is able to produce all the sounds correctly now and when he makes a mistake he always corrects himself. His is able to communicate appropriately for his age now, he is progressing well at school with his reading and expressing himself. We are very grateful for all the hard work and input from Monique. We definitely recommend her as an expert in speech therapy. Martina”

Kids Cardiologist
● Open“Shankar is a passionate and sensitive doctor who is highly skilled and very well respected by his peers and his patients/parents, which is obvious to see when he walks into a ward. He is so calm and has an amazing bedside manner and can keep the most nervous (me) parents calm, he explains things in a clear manner and answers any questions you have in the same manner . If it weren't for this man my son wouldn't be with us, he argued my son's case for surgery and really pushed for it , my son is now a relatively healthy little 4 year old and it's all because of this man. Words cannot express fully my admiration towards Shankar and my words will never be enough to thank him for all he has done and continues to do for my son .”
