“Just wanted to update on my old review. As always a great selection of cask, keg and ciders plus the more exotic cans and bottles in the fridge. From IPAs to sours and stouts, the Belle has it all. They do have a wide selection of gins and mixers too so if that's your bag you'll be satisfied with what they've got.”

“We have been going to this wonderful real ale pub since Ray opened just over 3 years ago and have to say it's got better and better. His ales are kept superbly and the atmosphere (especially Sunday lunchtimes) is friendly and lively. Highly recommend”

“A friendly, off-the beaten track local pub, serving great ales direct from the cask. Very traditional interior, and the locals are engaged in funny conversations and banter. This was a great pit stop on our long walk. I think this was how all pubs used to be - a genuine meeting place rather than somewhere to extract money out of you - I hope it never changes!”

We were looking for a specific bottle of Nebbiolo that we had in Florence last week and the few suppliers that had any in stock were suggesting 7 days for delivery at anywhere upwards of £5. Not only did these guys have the exact bottle we were looking for, but they delivered locally within in 2 hours of placing the order on the same day, for free! Will definitely be using them again. “Ordered a 3 course Sunday lunch which I collected. Starters was a prawn cocktail with focaccia and butter followed by roast beef, roast turkey, massive yorkshire pudding, 5 separate veggies, including honeyed parsnips and lashings of gravy. Followed by lemon meringue and ice cream, which we ate a couple of hours later. My wife said it was the best roast she had ever had, and I had to agree. Well done the Chequers Inn at Heaverham”

“Going to "The Plume" is like seeing an old friend, small things change but essentially the best bits remain. Fortunate because I met an old friend there and we quaffed excellent Harveys bitter and lager, eating well off of their seasonally changing menu. They are still misguided in their football affilliation, but that aside it's a well kept, well run pub and worth a visit to recharge after a brisk walk in the park.Recent managers installed who love the pub and don't see the need to change anything. Held a wake there and food excellent with great service. a pub that deserves to succeed.”

“A very busy pub (needs booking ahead!) But one that had great food and fast friendly service from the staff. Had a vegetable soup to start and the Sunday chicken roast followed by chocolate brownie as per the photos.”
