Natural Bean Speciality Coffee (Gidea Park Romford)
“Hands down the best coffee in, probably all of Havering. Genuine specialty grade beans, well roasted and dialled in to perfection. Thanks Natural Bean for bringing good coffee to the outer reaches of London. Also the whole team are amazing, store decor is best in class and you realistically couldn't ask for a better local coffee shop.”

Bushy Park
“What an amazing visit to this Royal Park! We saw so many deer up close, three species. We even saw a very rare white deer just 10 feet away!”
Richmond Park
“Richmond Park is by far my favorite park in London! Due to the size of it each time I visit I see different parts of it and different packs of deer. Every season it's a good season to walk there and it's dog & cycle friendly! There are not many places to drink at the park so make sure you bring your own.”
Cassiobury Park Pools
“Great outdoor pools with changing facilities and toilets. Situated in a great location with a cafe, playground and noddy train nearby plus woodland and riverside walks, plenty of fields for running around in and a spacious car park free for the first 2 hours. A great day out for the family.”
Verulamium Park
“The park surrounds st. Albans cathedral. Children's play area with lots of different things to do . A great park for a walk with friends or with your dog. In the distance as you're walking in the park there spectacular view of the park and St Albans cathedral which has lots of history to explore. It's a lovely day out and lots to do in Verulamium park .”
Water Gardens
“Absolutely beautiful, not far from Hampton Court Palace. If you like to walk, cycle or take any form of exercise. Great place of relaxation and tranquility.”
Black Park Country Park
“We loved it! We went for cycling when it was rainy - and super enjoyed it. Not that much people around, lake, too many walking ways, too many people with dogs around. You can also cycle there, but not by the lake where caffe is. Just make sure you will push your bike.”
Stave Hill Ecological Park - TCV
“I have many memories of visiting Stave Hill especially with my dearly departed Yorkshire terrier Ben. Bless him. ”
Hyde Park
“Excellent park! Huge, with lots of things to see and do. Lots of space available, in spite of its popularity and how busy it was, even on a weekday morning. Cycle paths (with bicycle hire available), picnic on the grass areas is possible, larger lake with many ducks, geese and swans. Horse riding tracks, and even a trough. Lots of little memorials and gardens dotted about. Cafes, with toilets, to rest and replenish at. I still have several more attractions and areas to explore there. A great place to relax and spend a few hours, or even pass the day. Whether it's by yourself, with a pet, a loved one, the family or friends. We were fortunate to have a great weather that morning. Ps. You might be lucky to catch the army training their soldiers to ride there some time like we did.”
St James's Park
“Beautiful park with lots of gorgeous views. The borders with plants are so nicely arranged, everything in the park is tidy (no litter on the ground etc). A lot of wildlife feeling comfortable next to the visitors - parrots, gooses, swans, ducks, squirrels. Great playground for children. Nice place to visit.”
The Regent's Park
“What a great social open space, no cycles allowed. Nice wide footpaths. Sports being played, cricket, football and exercises everywhere you looked. Lots of sculptures and things to see, even managed to see the zoo through the trees and got a glimpse of a feeding camal”
Alexandra Park & Palace
“Great experience! I went for the Sunday Farmer's Market, which was small but interesting, and then stayed to have a look at the park, since I'd never been. It's beautiful and very relaxing, plenty of happy dogs, families and people reading books in the sun. From the palace at the top of the park, you can see the City with the Shard in the distance. They also seen to have a calendar of events organised, and an indoors ice rink. I'm pretty sure I'll be back!”
Greenwich Park
“One of the most beautiful park in UK, beautiful flower beds and very nice playground for kids. It has got toilet and small cafe too. The location is perfect and whole London can be seen from here. You can easily spend 5-6 hrs here.”
Wanstead Park
“Breath taking park! Spent a few hours here, could have easily spent the day and carried a picnic and blanket to sit on. Lakes, streams and wonderful tracks in and out of beautiful woodland.”
Weald Country Park
“Great place for kids and adults, long country walk with wild deer roaming about ( you can see them if your if your quite) little cafe there with cakes and ice cream and food to feed the deer with. Massive lake to walk round with big open fields. A lot of people take their gazebos and have birthday parties there! You can walk for miles through the trees.”
Bedfords Park
“Beautiful green space with a deer enclosure. You can feed the deer but bring your own apples and carrots. Lovely for long walks and picnics.”
Downhills Park Cafe
“I inhaled a homemade lentil soup here today, it was absolutely spot on. Followed it up with jerk chicken and spinach/cheese patties, which were also divine. Friendly service too. Will definitely be back!”
Go Ape Black Park
“It's a lovely place to visit not just for GoApe. Black Park is beautiful with the lake and trails . There is a playground in the woods for mainly under 8s. Go Ape is good but it's a bit slow in the end where three routs come together and people queuing up for the zipline . Highly recommended.”
National Trust - Osterley Park and House
“What a lovely place! We live so close but never actually visited. The kids all loved it!! Lovely paths and tracks as well as some good off-road walks/paths through fields and small wooded areas! The terrain all round is reasonably flat so easy to get round with a pram or junior bicycles and even easier for larger bikes or scooters. There is a a nice coffee shop which serves a good range of drinks and snacks/bites and the prices are reasonable. There is also a lovely seated area with plenty of benches just outside. Handy toilets are also close by - just be aware of timings. One surprise was the pretty cool bike track which has some good turns and undulations which is suitable for all ages - even with stabilisers!! Car park has plenty of space and again fixed pricing is reasonable, whether you want to visit for a couple of hours or spend the entire day! Really enjoyable, relaxing and highly recommended. We will definitely be visiting again.”
Lullingstone Country Park
“Panaramic views! Early Spring development in tree blossom, lots of walks, edged by hedgerow planting, or tiny woods, lovely for family. Very useful for dog walkers. I think we might have been passed by - by the greyhound association members! Not only can you find the local wildlife, you can name plants & name the different breed of dogs! Castle nearby, quoted at £15 per visit. Cafe, gift shop at reasonable prices, and free toilets Inc a disabled toilet which was clean.”
