Ballyduff House
● Open“We had a great stay here. Bred is so friendly and made sure we were comfortable. The property is beautiful, and there is a walking trail just at the end of the driveway. The breakfast was so abundant and yummy! Only advice: bring cash with you. Otherwise you will need to wire transfer money, which has been really challenging to do on my end. I wish we could’ve paid by credit card or at least made aware of preferred payment.”

Brandon View House Bed & Breakfast

You are immediately greeted with a friendly, warm welcome by Helen and her gorgeous dogs. You feel right at ease. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The electric blankets were also a nice touch as someone who loves to climb into a toasty bed. It was lovely to have biscuits and tea, and chilled water just outside your room. Breakfast was a delicious feast for sure. Brandon View is a lovely little oasis, surrounded by green meadows and farmland.”

The Orchard Salon and Day Spa
● Closed“Had a lovely time at the orchard spa this weekend. I had the back, neck and shoulder massage, I can't remember the name of the girl but she did a great job, I felt so relaxed and she made sure to check in with me that the pressure was OK. I could have fallen asleep after it, I was so relaxed. Staff are lovely, so friendly and accommodating. Relaxation room was bright and cosy. Tea and coffee offered and a water station. One of our group had a facial and was glowing for the rest of day! He enjoyed talking to the staff about skin care and what products were being used during his treatment. Great value, would definitely recommend.”

Kilmore Guest House
● Open“Really lovely place to stay in the heart of Kilkenny. It’s just 2-3 minutes from the main drag which is close enough for convenience and far enough to get a good nights sleep away from the revellers! Easy check-in, impeccably decorated with hotel-quality beds, linen and towels and lovely showers and bathrooms. As I’ve a young family we booked the apartment which has a small garden with fireplace and bbq - a beautiful, lazy and relaxing end to a full on day of exploring all the sites. Suffice to say the rooms come with usual mod cons like WiFi, fridge and tea making - with complimentary milk and sundries provided. Had such a great stay we’ve booked it again in August. No hesitation recommending this gem for people looking for hotel quality without the fuss or the price tag!”

Mount Juliet Estate, Autograph Collection
● Open“Birthday afternoon tea with friends was lovely. Setting was outstanding and ambience was wonderful. Staff incredibly helpful and accomodating and came to check on us at various intervals for more teas and coffees etc. Unfortunately I wasn't all that impressed with the actual afternoon tea itself, we had the festive menu. It had the finesse but I just felt it lacked a fair bit of flavour in some of the sweets and cakes and didn't really leave me feeling like I had tasted something incredible, which I would have expected from such a fabulous venue. One of the party had a yeast and dairy intolerance, a difficult two to combine, especially for an afternoon tea and although they were able to offer a prawn wrap and fresh fruit, or something from the lunch menu, this was also a real shame that they could not cater for her needs (when she had commented that she had been to other places that served something for her needs.) A shame, but that didn't dampen our afternoon.”
