Bradgate Park
“I love this place. I discovered it the day I visited and it was a really enjoyable visit. Seeing the beautiful wildlife roaming free was great. I took my DSLR camera with me, and I'm so glad I did. I'd recommend this place to anyone who loves the outdoors and wildlife. Even those who enjoy photography!”
Bradgate Park (Newtown Linford Entrance)
“A great place for walks, only a stone’s throw from Leicester. Amazing scenery that you’d otherwise have to travel quite a long way to see (e.g. to the Peak District). Several local cafes in Newtown Linford opposite the entrance to the main car park, although all of them quite pricey. Food also available at the cafe in the middle of the park itself, although check seasonal opening hours.”
Abbey Park
“A Very large and well-maintained park, can easily take a full day's time spent. The large play area and swans will keep the kids entertained. There is a small lavender field to add to your entertainment if you visit during the seasons.”

“A lovely place for a day out. Great place for water sports, walking, great bike trail. It has bikes for hire, boat trip, play area for kids, cafe, toilets. Unfortunately carpark closes at 5 oclock.”

“Walked around half of the reservoir. Footpaths well signposted, so you know exactly where you are on the map. Beaches closed due to covid19, but toilets and food stalls/cafes open. Lovely place to visit, whatever age you are. Perfect for walking and cycling. Plenty of resting places to take in the views.”

Market Bosworth Country Park
“A lovely walk thats just right for when you fancy a stroll, quite well kept and lots of space for families to stretch out and relax together. The wildlife is always lovely in spring, lots of little ducklings and moorhen chicks everywhere.”
Jubilee Park
“What a fantastic park. Plenty of space to walk the dogs and an added bonus to have the river run aside it. The park always seems well tended to with the grass cut at regular intervals and most dog walkers seem to clear up after their dogs. The park does flood in times of heavy rain but nothing that a good pair of wellies won't tackle. Needless to say the dogs love it. There is a good sized car park to which I have never had issues parking in.”
Braunstone Park & Skatepark
“Great Park with loads for the kids to do including woods to explore, play area, ducks to feed and there's even a stream for playing Pooh sticks. Lovely place to spend a couple of hours or so.”
Play Close Park
“Great park, close to town centre and good size. Good range of activities: two kids play areas, an outdoor gym, large pond, skatepark, river bank, band stand, large playing fields, cafe with cobs and ice creams etc, and lovely views of the church. Do have to pay for parking, but worth it”

“My hometown and we're so lucky to have the best park IMO. I've been to many places but nothing beats my park ❤”
Heathley Park - Pub & Grill
“I went to the restaurant with my mum and we couldn’t have been made more welcome. My mum is staying local as her partner is in hospital and she was worried about going to the restaurant on her own later in the week. Ruth, one of the restaurant team spent time talking to my mum to make her feel at ease and not to worry about coming to the restaurant on her own. Ruth was brilliant and my mum is happy to go in and feels at ease. Ruth’s service was brilliant also and so welcoming, she’s a credit to the restaurant chain. Also a mention to the Gent behind the bar, possibly the Manager. He was very professional and friendly. Mum and I had a good night, thanks guys!”

Thai Express (Fosse Park Leicester)
“I popped in to Thai express in fossspark Leicester for a lunch meal and found it to be a really good place to get a meal quickly with no hassle, the food was delicious and the surroundings very clean and colourful, choosing what I wanted to eat was easy as a large display board at the tills had comprehensive pictures on it and the staff were happy to help explain the different options. The meal took only minutes to arrive, I would definitely recommend a visit here and I would go again.”

Windmill Farm Park
“I would definitely recommend Windmill Farm Park for a day trip out. The online booking system was easy to access and use. Staff were very pleasant upon our arrival and made sure we had all the information we needed to make the most of our trip. The Farm Park was well organised with lots of picnic areas under cover. Food and drinks available in the indoor cafe area looked good. All the animals looked healthy and well cared for, there were plenty different types to watch and talk about. The tractor ride was great fun and informative with regards to the crops, animals and windmill restoration. The animal based activities were good, engaged children well and gave them a better understanding of the care of animals and what animals provide for people. Windmill Farm Park is on the must revisit list, many thanks to all the staff involved in making our day out a pleasurable and memorable one.”
Rutland Water Nature Reserve
“Good place to spend day with friends and family. BBQ and picnic spots available. Water sports activities also there. Mini golf is good.”
Beacon Hill Country Park
“Great place to take your dog for a walk as the walk is about 2 miles around. Has many paths leading to play areas for the kids, wildlife areas and rocky outcrops. Dogs are a loud off lead, but only at certain times of the year. Signs tell you when they need to be on lead and where. Can get very very busy in summer with both the top and bottom car park full to the brim. Car park system works on a barrier system and a ticket is given which has to be paid at the machine on exit.”
Gopsall Park Leisure
“Lovely, tranquil caravan site. Off the beaten track so quiet and surrounded by fields. Situated near to public footpaths so plenty of walking routes available. Slightly slopey in places so bring plenty of chocks! Toilets are adequate. Would certainly visit again.”

“We met up with old friends, the kids had a great time launching off various items into the lake Great fun!”
