"Being the last movie theater in Bloomington, it’s the only place to go see a movie. The staff are all very kind and make the movie going experience great! The seats and theaters themselves are in need of a renovation, but it’s a pretty good place to go."
"The Showplace 12 in Bloomington, Indiana is ok. It has a ton of potential, but just doesn't have the upgrades. The wait times aren't to bad in concession. Mainly because there's not a lot of options. They have the pizza and pretzels and just added mini burgers. Still missing the mozzarella sticks, cheese fries, and hot dogs. They switched the hot dog for the burger. The seats are very dirty and worn, so re-aploster them please. Bloomington only has one theater left. I drive to the AMC 17. It was vastly superior has an IMAX with recliners. In closing if u have to go it's not too bad. But if you have the time AMC 17 is where it's at."
"My AMC Classic experience was less than satisfactory due to spilled popcorn, dirty chairs, and used tissues scattered around. A more thorough cleaning routine would greatly enhance the cinema experience for patrons."
"First time at the Bloomington theater and we left pretty disappointed in the experience. Ticket takers were kind but struggled with scanning and directing traffic. The concession workers were great— incredibly friendly and efficient. Theater seats were horribly uncomfortable, screen had scratches, the movie was WAY too loud. Our movie was scheduled for 2:40 and, with excessive ads, didn’t begin until after 3:10. The workers are great, the theater itself is pretty lackluster. Likely won’t come back"
"Great movie and great classic theater. I would prefer if they had Dolby digital but it's classic so I understand. And parking lot needs people to maintain the grass and huge weeds. But movie was great and sound was great. Seats were confterble . But every time I am there ethier in winter or the summer. It is way too hot in there. And I am carpenter I don't get hot easy."
