"I attempted to edit my review, however, according to the directions the ability to do so should be available but is not. So, I will write an edit. I had issues with the HOA of this subdivision. With the help of DR Horton and its employees, I was able to get these issues resolved. Each DR Horton employee I have had personal experience with have been extremely helpful. I do feel they need to adjust the HOA rules at least to be easily understood. Other than the HOA, I'm happy with my purchase."

"Park Ridge is a perfect place for these homes. DR Horton did a great job in selling us on the home we purchased. However, if we would’ve been told about the terrible HOA policies when we looked, we definitely would’ve took our money and walked away! We have been denied for every request we put in so far. All we wanted was a shed for outdoor items, a privacy fence to have some backyard privacy and a flagpole out front since we have a big corner lot. We were not told that we couldn’t have these things when we were at the beginning stages of this purchase. ASK FOR THE CONVENANCES AND READ THEM BEFORE YOU SIGN!! I’ve been in my house for a month now and have seriously been thinking of selling it already and finding somewhere else without an HOA! I’m trying to improve my property and they just won’t let me do anything!! This is beyond frustrating as this is MY PROPERTY and I shouldn’t have to ask permission to make improvements for a property that I pay for! These bi-laws need to be reviewed and rewritten!"

"Great homes, flawless process buying the home, the DR Horton employees were great and accommodating with us. We were happy; but the HOA is ridiculous. READ IT BEFORE YOU SIGN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love our home, but if I knew what I know now about how extreme the HOA rules are we might have gone a different direction. I completely understand rules to keep the neighborhood nice and curb appeal; but how nit picky they are being goes beyond just curb appeal. They even chose cosmetics over safety when it comes to home improvement outdoors. A ton of misinformation has been spread throughout the neighborhood too because the management team still has not read the by-laws until you put in an improvement request. READ BEFORE YOU SIGN!!!"

"They are great and accommodating until you close. They do not care how the management company handles the requests for improvements. If you buy here be prepared to be very frustrated."
