Once Upon A Child Schererville

"First and last time coming to this store. Got there at 6pm and the first thing the worker told me was “We’re not accepting anymore items.” I drove 45mins for nothing. Walked around the store to shop and I was very disappointed. Jumpers/swings were heavily used and scratched yet they were still priced very high. I saw a new dress with tags from TJMax at $7.99 and they were selling it for $10. I’ve only been to the store in Hardwood Heights and it’s way better. Will not be coming back here."

"If I could leave zero stars I would. There’s nowhere listed on the schererville store’s website that states they stop accepting things to buy at 730. I drove 30 minutes to this location only to be turned away by staff stating that it’s the store’s policy. What a waste of my time and money. Well, guess what you just lost my business completely. I’ll stick to the Orland Park location. Also, I’ll be sure to not recommend this location to my mom friends. Update your website and do better."

"So I just left the store with a huge bag of clothes I was only expecting to drop off because online it says they close at 8. But when I get there they have a sign posted that they close at 530 for a holiday party. So ok, no problem, didn't expect it to be done today at all. But the problem is they won't even take the clothes and my number to call me whenever they are ready. It took a lot for me to get that huge bag down 3 flights of stairs and they can't even just take the bag and work on it tomorrow? Or next week after the holiday? Makes no sense. There was another mother there taking apart a whole toddler table for same reason. Terrible customer service."

"The girl today was so rude. Literally watched her from the window open the bag and not even go through it and kick it under the table. She stated over stock and overuse when there were 3 toys brand new in the box and brand new Nike shoes. She didn’t even go though them and wasted my time. If the manager isn’t there don’t bother bringing stuff because they don’t even go through it. Also the staff is RIDICULOUSLY RUDE!"

"I was welcomed with bad service before I reached the table. The cashier/receiver/floor rep, was short with me, cut me off as I tried to get information, and spoke with disdain. She rattled of a spew about leaving my items, back in 15 mins (or before closing) and that they would not call me. Cool, however I was taught (and teach) that what you do matters as much as how you do it. Obviously, my business was not wanted there, and my presence even less. Therefore, I'll oblige her and take my business and presence elsewhere. To the management, or whomever is in charge of monitoring the online reviews: please keep your blanket "courtesy" response... if you really cared, you would ensure that your employees kept you in business by doing good business with ALL customers. Regardless of what clothes you take or not, common respect for all customers/clients should be mandatory. It's not, so I thank you for your time, but I will not come again. Your workers are a bad influence on my child."
