Sew Hop'd Brewery and Taproom

"Stopped in late on a Sunday afternoon. The place was not crowded, about half full. Nice choice of beers, so many to try. We samples six over the course of an hour. The beers were quite good, with only one being average. Three above average and two excellent. The Kolsch is very pleasant for those not into microbrew ales. The service was excellent, too! Highly recommend Sew Hop’d."

"Beers were clean but a little weak on the flavors (over attenuated?). I only tried the lagers since they are the true indicator of a breweries abilities. The Pils was lacking the hop aroma and bitterness. The Alt also was under the expected bitterness and maltiness. I can only assume they aren't using the correct yeast for their lagers and maybe using (the cost-saving) multi-purpose-makes-all-beers-taste-alike yeast kveik. I didn't taste the IPAs since I expected them to be over-hopped at best, looking at the IBUs.. Overall I'm sad this wasn't better since they have a fantastic building and top-of-the-line equipment. I hope they will reevaluate their yeast usage and revisit some of their lager recipes."

"A wide variety of beer from stouts to sours to ipas. All the beer is solid, and not really over the top. The staff are friendly, and the regulars are a hoot. Also, the outdoor patio is in full view of the sun which is nice to soak up that vitamin D."

"This is a great little Brewery. Actually not so little. Atmosphere inside is really nice and they have a great outdoor area. Service was super friendly and had tons of info on the beer, the history, and even the local beer scene. They had 16 beers on tap and several more off rotation in cans. I only had time for a flight. Pumpkin was good....not too pumkiny. Dunkle was great. Octoberfest was great...not too bitter. Hazy was good. S'mores was tasty with a marshmallow smell and a little char in the taste. I totally recommend this place and took some cans and a bomber to go."

"Good beers, great atmosphere and live entertainment by the outside patio. Unfortunately the service doesn't measure up to the rest of the microbrewery industry. Their tap room is very small and they don't have any bar stools for you to seat at the bar. I really don't like the set up here, if you finish your beer you have to get up and stand in a long line for service, there's no table service here. They also don't provide water for their patrons, if you want water, you have to buy it a "Kirkland- Costco" bottle from them. I only had one beer and bailed out. I was not about to stand in a long line on a very hot summer day. I hope they change their way and provide bar and table service in the future, to better serve their clientele. If they do that I'm sure they will sell more beers and have a lot more satisfied customers."
