“Coffee is sublime and the home made scones are out of this world. Friendly pleasant atmosphere and reasonably priced. Highly recommended. Edit: went in yesterday with the missus for a baked potato. I had chilli and cheese and wifey had beans and cheese. The baked potato was huge, chilli was obviously homemade and the accompanying salad was absolutely delicious. We had sandwiches for tea because we were still full from lunch!!”

I must mention the Latte because so many places disappoint you with a below average hot drink but this place has got it spot on. Top marks 10”

“Wow, they've really improved this place! Brand new Cark Park (all free, with cctv for security), seating and a new road surface. Pleasantly surprised! Well worth a little visit on a nice summers evening to watch the sunset over the humber. And great for dog walkers too! The foreshore 'beach' is slightly further down but not far. Not to mention the humber bridge park which is surprisingly quite peaceful.”

“12/2/23 We came here for my wife to collect her new prescription spectacles. We decided to get some food from The Kitchen but sadly there was little choice. We ended up with pizza, chips and soup complete with cold diet drinks. We managed to park in a disabled space near the front doors and of course I displayed my blue badge. It wasn't too busy, most customers were collecting odd items instead of a weekly shop. The weather was pleasant for a February day, no rain and a gentle breeze.”

My partner particularly enjoyed their black coffee, saying that it was one of the best they've ever had. If we're ever up Hessle Rd again, we'll definitely be returning!”

“WE WERE A PARTY OF 9 ADULTS AND 5 CHILDREN CELEBRATING AN 18TH BIRTHDAY ON 2ND JANUARY AND COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MADE MORE WELCOME. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING AND THE SERVICE TOP CLASS. MANY OF THE YOUNGER PEOPLE IN OUR PARTY HAD A VARIETY OF PIZZAS WHICH WERE ALL THOROUGHLY ENJOYED WHILST I HAD THE SALMON WHICH WAS BEAUTIFULLY COOKED AND PRESENTED AND JUST MELTED IN MY MOUTH. “Went for lunch just on Christmas eve. Pre booked and glad we did as it was very busy. Good menu selection, cakes sandwiches, paninins and breakfast. One if us went for all day breakfast while my daughter and I opted for the afternoon tea. This is also meant to be pre booked but they were lovely enough to make some up for us. Not dissapointed, both meals were delicious and served with a smile even though they were rushed off their feet. Bought some chocolate cake home for the other half which he said was also delicious. Good coffee too. Highly recommend”

“Tasha and RIch are brilliant owners. They have brought the pub back to life from it been dead and empty all the time to now having lots of people in and doing lots of different events all the time. You both put your heart and soul into the pub and you can tell this with everything you do. The past 3 big events you have done have been amazing all the kids have loved it, you always think about your customers. We are so glad you've taken over and hope you stay. We can't wait to see what you bring in 2023.”

“The best thing to happen to Hessle. Staff are amazing, very welcoming. Food menu is amazing, as is the childrens menu. The cocktail list is endless. The atmosphere is really good, puts you in a good mood. It’s our favourite place. The events they do for children are amazing. The encanto brunch was amazing. But the one last night. Hocus pocus, was just magical, my daughter loved them both. Can’t wait to see what’s next for theses guys!!!”

“On Tuesday 23 January my husband and I took his 93 year old mum for lunch and the meal was lovely. It was hot and delicious. The staff who served us eere excellent. Would highly recommend and shall be visiting again soon.”

“Warm and friendly. Staff were amazing and the GreenKings app help me pick food that didn't contain any dairy. Food was served quickly, hot and there was so much of it. Well worth the price. Would highly recommend if you can get out that way.”

“We were just of the Rotterdam to Hull boat, so breakfast was important. We were greeted by a friendly manager who explained the possibilities and prices. It was essentially a no fuss experience and we were glad of a decent cuppa and some good food. We were even entertained by the peacock preening itself outside. Pleasant and recommended experience.”
