“My partner and I have just been to The Aegean for the first time. Let me just say, the food was unbelievably good. The freshness, taste, variety. All of it was unreal. The lamb chops and pork loin stole the show, although all of it was great. We shared the meat platter and it was amazing. The service was great and personal. It was without a doubt the best restaurant I've been to in Hull.”

“Italian vegetarian night, eat as much as you like. A selection of wines. Ring the door bell on the right and someone will collect you from the first floor. A much larger restaurant than you would imagine. Good for large groups with vegan options. Recommend to book as it opens from 20:00 pm. My photo 6/10 of the barman wiping the glass has hit over 1,000,000 views today 16/08/20 took while on holiday in Hull January 2020 after the Russian Ballet.”

“Unexpected and surprisingly good food. Big portions (if you aren't a massive eater, skip the starter) good was delicious, very flavorful and you could taste the freshness. Staff war very friendly, helpful and accommodated food allergen such as gluten/celiac to the best of their abilities. If you look for a hidden gem in town for authentic Greek food, you cannot ignore this tavern.”

“Small with a limited number of tables so I'd highly recommend booking, it also seems really popular. Started with a hot and cold meze for two, it was excellent with just the right amount of food. Next was the main course, a lamb kebab wrapped in a pitta served with a rich tomato sauce, cous cous and chips (more like potato wedges to be honest), this was also excellent, the lamb was juicy and well seasoned. To finish it had to be baklava with a serving of vanilla ice cream, absolutely delicious, sweet and warming with spices and chopped nuts, incredibly sweet...but that's how it should be. The decor is really pretty good and adds to the overall experience. Definitely worth a visit.”

Am sure it improves as more customers come. There is plenty to choose from on the menu for vegetarians and pescatarians. Home delivery is an option but make sure you do enjoy their food”

“I recently discovered this little place on Princes Avenue whilst out doing work rounds. The menu is small but the taste quality is huge! Worth mentioning its well priced too, for example: i tried the mix gyro (pork and chicken) packed full with fries, salad and a good portion of tzatziki for £4.80. My friends had the chicken gyro and we all raved about how good the food was. I returned today and had the greek salad which was fantastic (so much packed into a small tub) but the piece de resistance was the meat pie. A fine filo pastry infused with herbs giving way to a moussaka style beef affair that was too good to be true and all for £3.50. If you havent been then you must visit soon. I will be back!!”

“Came for lunch here and the restaurant was inviting. Staff were friendly and served us promptly. We ordered the goats cheese and avocado salad with a side of bread/focaccia/flat bread. The meal was delicious and wouldn’t hesitate on coming back again!!”
