“Such a hidden gem. Love this place!!! Ramen was really tasty, very rich pork bone broth, ramen was also very well cooked. Had the BBQ meat platter, everything was beyond my expectations, the dipping sauce adds sooo much flavour. Fried fish and pork dumplings were excellent too.”

“The Astor grill is a wonderful place to dine, The service is amazing, consistent and courteous ensuring you are made feel valued genuinely. The meal sizes are just the right portion sizes and cooked beautifully, your water glass never empty. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable with just the right amount of ambience. It's definately money well spent, I've dined twice and will certainly dine there again. The only regret I have is not thinking to leave a tip.”

“Outstanding !!! We are a family of 4 with two teens. We each ordered a steak with sides to share (fat chips and broccolini). The steak was delicious and grilled to perfection. Fat chips were perfect as was the broccolini. We were quite full but squeezed in a dessert to share the yuzu cheesecake. It was absolutely delicious, light and a perfect way to end the meal. The service was excellent, the ambience was great and the artwork around the restaurant was beautiful. Very well enjoyed evening that we will not forget.”

“Went here on the first night of my trip to Hobart and I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the beef and tendon. It tasted great. I especially enjoyed the broth. The lady who served us was friendly and accommodating. I'd be happy to come back here again and try another dish. Edit: I loved this place so much that I came here three days in a row for all three days that I was in Hobart!”

“Food was absolutely amazing! We came on a rainy Thursday, heaters were on, staff were friendly and food was great and very reasonably priced! Only note is that chips are not served with each burger, and were an extra $10, but serving was enough for 2 and they were bloody delicious. Would highly recommend!”

“Went to Hogs Breath for dinner with a large group. Staff were very hospitable they managed to seat us at our favourite table at short notice. Very friendly and service was fast. Food was delicious, steaks cooked perfectly and we were all very full. We all noticed how clean the place was and we weren’t sticking to the table! I highly recommend Hogs Breath for a meal we all thoroughly enjoyed our experience!”

“We stayed at Crowne Plaza and one of the best things for us was the restaurant at level 4. We have a baby and it is convenient to eat there and be so close to our room for his nap. We enjoyed the food, friendly staff and quick service. I had a cocktail and it was delicious.”

“We have got a tasting session of 3 rare Tasmanian whiskeys. The owner told KS about the culture of distilleries and wineries in Tasmania we'd explained what made these whiskeys special. Left informed and with exquisite whiskey aftertaste. Great tourist escape spot”

“Great location, right by the harbour and super close to lots of restaurants and Salamanca. Excellent staff. Oh and the breakfast is delicious, especially the hot food selection. We were upgraded to a deluxe harbour view room by Callum, which was a lovely gesture. The hotel gym is great, and the wifi signal is very reliable throughout the hotel. In fact, the entire hotel is very nicely decorated and our room was very spacious, with a rain shower and a spa bath. Free parking outside the hotel is a bonus.”

“WOW. Amazing quality sashimi and drinks! The ambiance is AMAZING. Beautiful Japan cherry blossoms and lots of cute decor in the front and dining area in the back. Also has outdoor seating with fire heating if needed! Tried the Kingfish Sashimi and Tuna Sashimi, and it was some of the best I've ever had. The Tuna was so flavorful and melted in my mouth right away. Highly recommend trying this place out for a drink and some super fresh seafood! Service and ambiance are top tier!!”
