Sushi Ginza Onodera
Sushi Ginza Onodera, located at 808 Kapahulu Avenue in Honolulu, Hawaii, offers a traditional Omakase dining experience led by Executive Chef Takeshi Shimbashi. Established in 2013, this small, wood-hued building features a sushi counter that offers three Omakase menus and a selection of sake. The chefs, trained in the Ginza main store, serve authentic Edomae Sushi and other delicious options to guests from around the world. Using a variety of techniques, such as marinating and curing raw fish with salt, red vinegar, and soy sauce, they aim to showcase traditional Japanese culture through food. The rice, made with high quality sake lees and aged red vinegar, complements the quality Edomae Sushi perfectly. Reservations for the Omakase menu are required and can be made online. The restaurant is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and all dinner reservations are prepaid.
