Mugdock Country Park
“My only disappointment is that we didn't have enough time to explore the whole park! To do so would probably require an entire weekend. So much to do in one country park and absolutely stunning surroundings. So many nature trails and old castles & ruins you could easily & gladly get lost! Book the BBQs ahead to avoid disappointment (using website or visitor centre) Oh and don't swim in the lochs. Beautiful magical place, you can really feel the history here. We didn't even get to see half of it and so we intend to go back and see the rest! Would definitely recommend for a day out. Enjoy”
Kelvingrove Park
“Beautiful park/arboretum. Very large. Lots of trees, some of which are very unusual, info given. Beautiful river runs through it too. Lots of seating. The central area is fairly flat, and you can get away with wheelchairs, and you can also walk up various steps to different levels.”
Levengrove Park
“Beautiful open park nestling between the rivers Clyde and Leven, with an interesting historic well and 12th century church ruins. There is a lovely clyde estuary promenade with great views of Dumbarton Rock. Well worth a visit.”

Monterey Jack's at M&D's Scotland's Theme Park
“What a venue! We attended over the weekend and it is incredible place compared to before, simply different level! The same can be said for the food, drink and service - simply different level! We enjoyed the Mounty Burger and Yeeha. Burgers were cooked perfectly and the sweet potato fries were the best thing I’ve ever put in my mouth! Our wee one went for the Foghorn Leghorn Chicken and he had devoured the lot - he must’ve loved it (or the promise of ice cream!) Most of all, a HUGE shout out to the staff! The venue had only been only opened 3 days and some their first day apparently, ok a few minor things along the way but overall a great experience from what is clearly some great people. Super excited to return and if this is how the staff were on our first visit then they will knock it out on our next (and numerous) returns. It’s tough to find good people/talent these days so kudos to whoever recruited what looks like a great team! Good luck Monterey Jack’s M&Ds, we are buzzing to come back!”
Balloch Castle & Country Park
“Parking is very easy, no charge. Its a very nice park, you can walk around in the garden and down to the shore. The dogs enjoyed it a lot!”
Clyde View Park
“Beautiful little park on the banks of the Clyde. Lovely children’s play park area, tennis/basketball courts, statues and sculptures, pond areas. Great for children and walking dogs. There are plenty of waste bins for litter and dog mess. The grass areas can be quite wet and swampy if there has been a lot of rain but there are paths around the park. Lovely little park rain, snow or sunshine. Loads of dogs walk here.”
Strathclyde Country Park
“This site sits at the cross roads of two motorways. But it really is quite quiet. Surrounded by trees and big wide open pitches, it beautiful. I would definitely book again.”

Eastwood Park Leisure
“Great set up for swimming lessons. Even with Covid restrictions lifted slightly the set up at Eastwood swimming is brilliant. Children come swim ready, are greeted by staff member and taken pool side by parent/guardian. Parent/guardian can watch from viewing gallery in designated seat which have been disinfected and then each seat corresponds to changing room to take your child to after their lesson. Swimming teachers and staff all adhering to guidelines and are very friendly and helpful.”

George Allan Park

The Park Bar
“I have lived about five minutes walk from the Park bar for nearly ten years and passed by it on the bus every day. To look at from the outside I assumed it was just a run of the mill dingy old man pub and had no idea that they served food and welcomed children. In my opinion it should be made very clear that it does. Upon entering the bar I was surprised at how modern, bright and inviting the whole place is. Down at the seating area where the meals are served looks very nice with lovely decor and is spotlessly clean. The staff are lovely and table service is the norm here. My children and I all had lovely meals with not a spot left on anyone's plate. There was football on the TV when we were in but the bar was not too rowdy at all. I would recommend the Park Bar to anyone looking for a really tasty pub meal. I'm just sad I never knew of this place earlier or I'd have been lots of times as I plan on doing in the future. Great grub, beer and welcoming and helpful staff.”
Chatelherault Play Park
