"I had a friend bring a vehicle to them for repairs . Be warned , they won't acknowledge that there are some things they can't repair. They will take advantage of you on things that they have no idea on how to fix . If you have to go there make sure you have everything in writing . As a lifelong mechanic I would recommend that if you are forced to go there , cover your behind because these guys are not professional and you need to be careful . They might be good at normal maintenance , but if you need more than that , do your research and go to an authorized repair center for what you need . You have been warned . Edit . This is a small southern town . As a certified mechanic and shop manager , stay away . They do not know what they are doing . When they screw up and you have to sue them , you will lose . If there was true justice they would be out of business . Just remember , it's a corrupt small town and you will lose ."
"I'M sorry I have to give Parks truck service any stars! this is a long story but it's the truth so help me God. On 4/26/23 we paid Parks Truck Service $11186.73 to service our Prevost 1993 tour bus. since the bus was new to us we knew nothing about the charge. But it seemed they did right by us? But another story, one thing they did was put the wrong oil in the engine and it is on the invoice! And other things they said they did were never done. but that is water over the damn. We are the Liliac band a family band. and the bus has been all over the country. and runs like new. We were in Florida and about an hour after getting fuel the bus had no power going up hills and going down hills it seemed fine. Florin the father and manager called me and asked me to call Parks Trucks to see if we can drop off the bus off. (this is where their story differs from ours) On July 2, 2023 we drooped off the bus to be repaired we thought. I would call Eric on and off to see where we stand with the repairs and I was told one of the parts they thought were causing the problem was in the mail and coming any day?(again nothing that they could control) The band was taking off touring for the month of August do to a wedding in the family. So I called Eric ( at this point they had the bus for maybe a month) and asked him if I had a new engine for the generator that was burning oil would they replace it for us.( since the band was leaving soon for the next part of the tour and we were running out of time to do the engine swap) Eric said "we do not work on Generators about three times" I sad all you have to do is disconnect four or six bolts" eventually Eric aggreged to replace the Kubota engine that was sent to them from Country Sales & Service a company you can trust! I gave Eric a phone number for tech support if they needed it. during the replacement a friend of the band who was a master auto mechanic for many years before he retired stopped by Parks they didn't have the right equipment to replace the Kubota. at that Point Parks should have called me and said get lost we can't do the job and we would have to find the right shop in stead of charging us the 49 hours when the book hours of 10 to 14 hours is the norm.(I told Eric that Country said it takes them about 14 hours for the change over) we were NEVER given any type of Estimate as to how many hours they were racking up? any they just kept going .Now the generator isn't working at all. the generator is with Jason is our new Mechanic who has the generator apart and it looks like Parks messed up the wiring all the grounds were loose and burnt there is a white wire that was left off? he is still looking for the bolt that David from parks said he dropped in the generator(I also gave Eric the Phone Number to Power tech Generator and Jeff the service Manager cell phone ( Jason called Power tech and they sent him a PDF of the service manual) lets see what other damage Parks might have done (that will be another one star review. Finally the ECU part they were waiting on came but it was defective and they were going to order a second one (that's what Eric said?) after more wait (again not there fault) the ECU came and we were told we should be ready to go in a few more days Then we were told come and get the bus Florin and Our friend went to get the bus and guess what it would not get out of parks driveway after paying $16514.10 Florin wanted to stop payment on the check and my MISTAKE I said Parks would do the right thing WRONG! so they left. a few more days Eric called me and said the bus would not start after a short conversation we decided to replace the batteries again? and that didn't do the trick I asked Eric if he would mind If Jason a mechanic I found could stop by to help He said they would appreciate the help since they were running out of ideas On September 20,2023 Jason went to Parks and with their help? They fixed the the electrical and batteries that were wired wrong Jason's fee for the day with travailing around 225 miles came to $1045.00 TO BE CONTINUED"
"I’m the father and manager of a family rock band called Liliac. Who works very hard to earn their money by performing gigs. We had our tour bus taken in the Parks Truck Center shop for repairs having issue with low power when accelerating. Parks kept the bus for 81 days, did not call us to authorize any repairs during that period of time. After 81 days, Eric the manager finally called to say come pick up your bus cuz it’s fixed. He invoiced us $16,514.10 I was shocked and surprised of a high bill like that but had no choice but to write the check so I can take the bus back. I couldn’t even get bus out of the shop’s drive way, the bus was not fixed. It still had low power. Eric, the manager said leave it here, we’ll fix it. After 3 weeks, he called to say I’m sorry but the bus don’t even start anymore. I had to pay a mobile mechanic to come and fix their mistakes to get the bus started again and charged me $1,045. That mechanic said, take the bus out of there asap cuz they have no clue what they are doing. I went and took the bus to Clarke Power Service who fixed it in 2 days for $3,450 I lost over $16K with this shop on the bus that never got fixed and was in worse condition then when I took it in. Also, when I asked them to change the oil, they put the wrong oil 15W-40 instead of straight SAE 40 oil which is the oil for diesel engines. They are incompetent, no communication skills how so ever, they do unauthorized repairs and charge you for it. We had the worst experience ever. When I asked the mechanic David, why couldn’t they fix the bus, he said we don’t know what we are doing at this point, to find out after waiting for that long that they don’t have the diagnosis equipment to find out what the problem is and fix it. They were just winging it, and charged me for all those hours experimenting on our bus. Do not take your vehicle to this shop, they took advantage of a hard working family band and a family business."
"We personally had the worst experience. Had our bus there for over a month, two times they said it was ready and we drive two hours there and back and neither time it was ready the bus did not work. They charged us 16K. So we left the bus again. The bus is worse than before, when we took it in it had power, AC lights, we had them changed generator and now nothing works they said they don’t know how to fix it. Also what kind of business does not have a email, to keep track of conversations. They won’t let us talk to the owner Jerry Parks I feel like we’ve been cheated. They randomly add hours without keeping track of hour. On line it says to change a generator takes 8 to 2O hours to change generator and according to labor on the generator they charge almost 4 times that, and the mechanic said they did not keep track. I’m so upset, I feel like crying. Then on the invoice it charged us for fuel filter and on the same invoice it says fuel filter was not changed. It makes no sense. I feel like they don’t know what they are doing and charge randomly. And a whole bunch of stuff that are not making sense. They said they will tell Jerry to call and he did not. If things are corrected, i will most likely change this review and remove it. I feel like i need to live it to get their attention science we can only call and not get anywhere with people working there. UPDATE They never fixed it, We asked for most of the refund and of course no answer so we will file a legal action to get our money back. Very sad."
"So far, I've been pleased with diagnosis and repair. Service Mgr Eric has been helpful and kept me updated. Service personnel have also been helpful and knowledgeable in making any needed repairs. One of the few shops in my area that will work on motor homes. They have my business for sure."
