"A Mixed Experience at Hampton Inn and Suites I have been a guest at Hampton Inn and Suites for the past three months while in search of permanent housing. My stay has been a mix of positive interactions with some staff members and a notable disappointment in the new General Manager. The staff at this Hampton Inn and Suites has been like a family to me, always looking out for my needs. Throughout my stay, I've encountered various employees, and I would like to commend a few individuals. Kaye has consistently been smooth, calm, and collected, ensuring I have everything I need. Tiffany, who transitioned from housekeeping to the front desk, maintained a helpful attitude. Vonetta provided good conversation and made sure I had everything in order. The newcomer, Naam, has been attentive and excellent in their role. However, the standout has been Nyshelle Thomas, who has gone above and beyond to assist me since the moment I stepped into the hotel. It's surprising to me that Nyshelle wasn't chosen as the new General Manager after the departure of the previous GM. The current GM, by contrast, lacks personality and has not made any effort to engage with guests. I've had uncomfortable encounters with her, from a 15-minute wait for a key because she claimed not to know how to make one, to inviting the maintenance guy behind the front desk to figure out daily printouts. The most concerning incident was finding her in my room asking if I would be checking out that day, despite having settled that matter early in the morning. In my opinion, Nyshelle Thomas embodies the qualities of a capable GM. Even under the previous GM, Nyshelle was not confined to the front desk but actively involved in checking rooms, stocking coolers, and working extended hours. If I were to suggest a change, it would be to replace and elevate Nyshelle Thomas to the GM position. Her dedication and competence speak volumes, making her a valuable asset to the hotel. "Where do I start . . . it's a dump. Digital key didn't work. First set of keycards didn't work. Manager had to come with master card key, didn't work. Said they would give me an upgrade for 30 minutes inconvenience, didn't get one. The toilet broke. The TV broke. The water pressure in the sink was awful. When I drank the free bottled water it made me so sick I almost went to the ER. Mold in the bathtub. Dirty bathroom. Low lighting. Bad environment overall. It was horrible. I'll never stay there again. And the internet speed was super slow."

"My fiance and I spent a week here during Thanksgiving. The room was a nice size. However, housekeeping didn't clean the room one time while we were there. We had to take out our own trash and get towels daily. I didn't have breakfast. However, my fiance did and said it was an 8/10. The popcorn and cookies in the afternoon are a nice touch. With better cleaning services, I'd would have rated higher."

"There was no shampoo in the bathroom, the larger bottles on the wall were all empty and no sampler shampoo as well. I went to the front desk next morning and asked for some shampoo. The guy at the front desk told me that the hotel was out of shampoo and they were not gonna have it for the next few days. He suggested me to purchase one at the gas station, and No apologies! What fundamental thing do you expect from a hotel room? Taking a shower, right? How about knowing that some travelers do not have a car and cannot easily go and get a shampoo? He was kind of ridiculing me throughout the whole conversation in both days I stopped by the front desk. The fan in the bathroom was not functional too, and the room was humid and smelly for a few hours each time I took a shower. No one stopped by to take the towels and give us the new ones, so second day was kind of a nightmare in that room!! Last thing, our room was located right behind the ice maker on the first floor, and the sudden noise during the night was really irritating, they need some sound isolation on that wall."
