“First time in Tubbercurry and looking for a place to eat and spotted Cawley’s Hotel, was really impressed with the ambiance of the venue, its warm character and the great hospitality on offer. The restaurant/bar seemed busy, but manageable and the service provided was excellent. The server I had, Cian I think, he really is an amazing hospitality worker always diligent and on the ball. The food was scrumptious and would definitely recommend the Prawns. I had the steak and it was equally delicious, I think it was the best steak I have ever eaten in a long while, and the dessert of the French Apple Pie was superb. Cawley’s Hotel is a gem and I will be back again.”

“Staff in this hotel are amazing, so helpful and friendly. The rooms are large, comfortable, modern and tastefully decorated. There was live music on Friday and Saturday night with a trad band on Sunday evening. Leisure centre is great with large pool and excellent selection of gym equipment.”

“We had our humanist wedding and reception in the Ocean Sands Hotel in April and the wedding team were amazing. From the first day we went to chat and view the hotel, right up to the wedding day itself, the team were so helpful and accommodating for everything we needed. They were always available during the wedding planning and did most of the organising around the day for us! The food was unbelievable- all of the guests commented on how good it was. The location by the sea is wonderful (even though we got a wet and windy day, it was still beautiful!). I absolutely would recommend the Ocean Sands Hotel to any couple planning their wedding. “Opposite the Cathedral there are very interesting places. These are the monastery of the Ursulines and St. Mary's. You can walk around the territory and see an unusual garden, as well as tasks with beautiful forms in the Gothic style and a huge abandoned monastery house.”

“Visited the best town in Ireland in May 2009. Ted McGowan of the the Roison Dubh was the first local soul we met and he charmed me to the core. Ever gracious and witty, he hosted musical evenings in the pub that were pure magic. Jacky McGowan was wicked smart and funny behind the bar of an afternoon, and always happy to help a couple of tourists find their way about. The Roison Dubh and Gurteen, Sligo remain in my heart as a perfect experience.”

“I had my little girl’s sixth birthday party here at the ox Mountain adventure camp, we rented out the big red bus and the lodge next to the bus. I honestly could not complain about one thing. Dermot and Monica are excellent hosts. The kids absolutely loved the bus and enjoyed all of the animals that are also there. We will definitely be back for another visit.”
