"I wish I could give the Food and Service more stars. Not sure why this place has a 4.6 at time of review. The team of servers that they are very cultured in their knowledge of the menu, the history of the establishment, and experienced in the field. The chef themselves came out to ensure we had a great time. We ordered an appetizer and two meals and the preparation, quality of the produce and meets, and flavor were impeccable. Redwood is very easily a hidden gem in Hollywood - blending Mediterranean and Caribbean cuisine in a way digestible to a broad array of taste-buds. The meals came with an amuse-gueule and that was such an amazing surprise. We had a cabbage salad and ackra."

"Hollywood, FL is the perfect place for this 5-Star Restaurant and Food Network celebrity chef.Everything was sooooo….delicious! The food was FRESH, SOULFUL, and EYE-CATCHING. Eating at Redwood was like getting a hug from the inside out. Even the garnishes were delectable . And the cornbread….OMG…I didn’t think anyone could make cornbread better than my grandma. The cafe’s ambiance paralleled the food with live jazz music, romantic candlelight and cozy seating. The food was well priced and the $1.00/hr parking in the garage about a block away added to the perks of dining at Redwood….Ooooh, I can’t wait for the Sunday brunch with endless Mimosas to commence. Wow, the experience was incredible."

"We were walking around Downtown Hollywood looking for somewhere to eat and we are so happy we found this place. We stood outside reading their menu and the Chef and waitress came out and beckoned us inside to have some Caribbean-Mediterranean fusion food. I asked if he could make me a Jambalaya and he said it didn’t matter if it wasn’t on the menu, he was the Chef and he could definitely make it for me.The food was delicious and Chef Ivan, Brenda & Henry were very attentive and friendly. From the scrumptious housemade bread at the beginning of our meal to the crème brûlée we had for dessert, everything was made perfectly! The Hollywood community should come out and support this amazing restaurant! I will definitely be coming back for Ladies Night on Wednesdays and Jazz Night on Saturdays!"

"I came for a Friday night dinner. A restaurant looks inviting and I decided to sit inside instead of outside because of the nice ambiance. The servers all greeted us immediately and my server was excellent. We started with the Greek salad and added the optional beats. We followed up with the open-faced mofongo which was absolutely delicious! The main course was the surf and turf and I have to say it was the best cooked shrimp I have had in a long time. To finish things off we had the coconut creme brulee and it also was cooked to perfection. It had a decent dinner rush but it won't be long before this place is going to need reservations. In my opinion that the food prices here are way below what they should be."
