"Beautiful park and museum! Lots of interesting flora and fauna to inspect on the grounds. The museum is small but well done throughout the house. The underground exhibit of the shell mound is not open yet due to Ian damage last year, but it's still well worth visiting the property... And coming back in a few months when all the exhibits are fully restored and open again. Staff is cheerful and friendly and happy to answer questions."

"This museum and learning experience are a fresh breath of education and history amongst all the tourist locations. The grounds are beautiful. The exhibits are informative. There is a short video introduction, house to tour, and an underground exhibit where you can learn about the early people who lived there. It was an interesting stop. The employees and volunteers were phenomenal."

"This is the second time my mom and I have visited this site/museum. There has been a great deal of effort put into making it a beautiful and educational experience. Anyone who visits Fort Myers Beach should not miss this exhibit! I highly suggest The Mound House tour. Update: we went back AGAIN this year for their beginners kayak tour. What a deal! The guides were wonderful, and estuary was so beautiful, and we got to see all kinds of birds, as well as dolphins, manatee, and even stingrays. Dexter is a phenomenal guide, and we've already decided we will be going back for kayaking experiences here in the future. Don't miss it!"
