The Edge at Town Center

"So let’s have fun with this one and how inept the entire staff in the leasing office is. Lived in this complex for 5 years. In that timeframe I’ve had the displeasure of working with multiple people from the this leasing office. I’ll get to them last though. I’ll start with maintenance. I used to work 5 minutes from there and would come home on my lunch break. I come home one day and find a set of keys in my door from the maintenance team and when I went in there was nobody there. I’m there for a good 40 minutes and nobody comes back. There’s no telling how long they’d have left my door unsecured if I hadn’t come home. So I take the keys out of my lock and relock my door. I had those keys for 2 years without hearing from them. They didn’t even know the keys were missing until they didn’t have a key to do a maintenance request. I returned the maintenance keys that I’d found in my door and explain the situation. They never apologized they just brushed it off. The gates never worked. The pool was always closed. My favorite things were the inevitable giant piles of trash that accumulate around the compactor because it never worked either. I mean literal five to six feet of trash all around the compactor. I wish this was an exaggeration. It is not. Don’t get me started on the amount of mold and roaches encountered while living there. Now none of these are the reason I felt so compelled to write this review. Right after moving out of these apartments my wife and I were in the process of buying a house. We found a house that we loved, put in our bid which was accepted. We get all the way to our closing day and after waiting for hours in the office of the realty company we find out that there was an issue. Apparently somebody from the leasing office told our finance company that we’d been late on our rent over 30 days at some point during our residency. Well this was news to me and my wife. So the closing got cancelled. We head over to the property to get a printout of our payments and an explanation. First the manager refused to speak to us. One of the ladies who works in the office told us the manager was not in that day. I’ll remind you that we’d lived there for 5 years. The manager drove a very distinctive large pickup truck and parked in the same place everyday. It was parked in their favorite parking space that day. She did not live on the property so there was no reason for it to be there unless she was actually there. They provide the printout and my wife and I review it in the parking lot. The same lady comes out and threatened to call the police because we were no longer residents and that they’d have us trespassed even though we were there for legitimate business. I would like to state that we weren’t out there for more than 5 minutes from the time we left the leasing office until this altercation began. We left and of course as expected we had never missed a payment. We’d reached out to corporate and mysteriously they cleared it up with our finance company and I'd like to add that they never got back to us on our complaint. Luckily we were still able to close on our house days later but now we had to take an extra day off of work due to their incompetence. If I had to summarize my entire review in a nutshell I’d say find someplace else to live because there is nothing but headaches and heartbreaks here. I wish I could give zero stars. "I been living here almost 4 years and I have no quorum with my complex and their staff as well as to When there is a repair needed to be fixed they are very quick in getting it completed and if there is an issue to communicate with as to when to expect it to be completed Really enjoy living at the edge of town center because it seems like that you guys (staff) really cares about the appearances look around our complex and you alway working on the up keep as I have always stated that I enjoyed seeing the maintenance people doing something to improve so that makes me proud of where I live. However in last few months that level had changed and I’m also glad to see that you have started back pressure washing our walkways down and using the blowers to clean the breezeways in the last couple of months that level of maintenance has been missing welcome back to my first love of why I enjoyed these last three in a half years of calling this place my home the upkeep as well as the security; not just get our gate fixed and but to crackdown on the one who cut off the resident who actually uses the gate code to keep us safe other than that I love how this community is and hope to see our gate fixed thankfully speaking"

"My problem was resolved in less than an hour. I went to the office and put in a request to have my air conditioner checked. It wasn't putting out cold air. The very polite and courteous maintenance man came very quickly and had everything working perfectly within fifteen minutes."
