"Decent living community. My bf has been living in these apartments for almost a year and I come stay over almost every other day. Never had roach problems like other people mention. I just noticed that there were interesting dips in the floor in certain areas of the apartment. We've had a little issue with the AC not being cold in the master bedroom twice but nothing major. They have been saying for about a year that cameras will get placed in the gym but that has not happened. Because of that, they only have the gym open between 9am-6pm which is very inconvenient since most people work a 9-5pm. For the most part it's a relatively quiet and safe area."

"If I could give negative stars I would. Lived at lakeside for 13 months and it was ridden with problems. For starters I had a giant leak in my roof that opened up shortly after I moved in. I tried putting in a work order twice to which they said a vendor would be coming out, which they never did. I could obviously tell they’ve had this leak problem for a while and just painted over it after the last tenant moved out. Then 6 months into my lease a flea infestation broke out. Side note I have no pets and have never invited guests with pets over. I tried to treat for the fleas over and over again and they never went away. When I called to get pest control/flea treatment scheduled, the leasing consultant (who lived on property in our same building) said they were 2 weeks backed up & that “most likely what’s going on is someone in the same building must have a pet with an infestation.” I had to throw out all my valuable furniture: my couch, a chair that had been passed down in the family for years, etc. These are just two big problems of the MANY I faced when living there. I also got locked out of my apartment on a Sunday night shortly after the property switched from manual locks to smarthome locks, because the battery was dead. Tried to open the door via Smarthome App and nothing worked. I waited for 2 hours in the dark for someone to come out and change the batteries, even though it had just been installed a couple weeks prior to. Someone also drowned in the lake outside of my unit and Lakeside didn’t inform ANYONE of the situation. The cops knocked on my door at 8 am because they were asking everyone in the building for statements. Lakeside showed zero concern. They didn’t send out an email informing tenets that someone died on the property violently. Nothing. These are just a few examples of my experience. So obviously I had 0 interest in renewing my lease. After all of this, I got an email from the office trying to raise my rent IF I did renew. I had payed for the unit through July the 15th. Then come move out day, the morning of the 15th, and the assistant manager locked me out of my apartment first thing in the morning when she arrived in the leasing office by changing the lock code. I immediately went into the office, where I was not even greeted. The assistant manager decided to answer a phone call first and gave a finger in the air so she could inform someone about the available units. Seems like they only care about people when they might be getting paid/commission. I explained that she’d locked me out (even though I’d paid for the whole day) and demanded the new code so I could finish moving. She lied and claimed that she tried calling me twice. I only have 1 phone number and received no calls from them in well over a month. This cost me close to $165 since I had to make my movers wait on the clock and were paid by the hour. After all of that Lakeside had the gall to email me a list of charges including: $65.65 for water charges, $50.00 for express cleaning, and $45 for carpet damages. My apartment was left exactly as I received it. I will provide pictures. But of course I went straight to lakeside’s leasing office and demanded the assistant manager drop all charges since my apartment was completely fine and they actually cost me thousands of dollars in furniture because of the fleas, never fixed the leak, etc. The manager (who I have never even seen before) stepped in and claimed that she does pest control logs and there were no flea issues… I literately am in those logs for pest control to come out for flea infestation. The managers are not worried about your unit nor are they concerned about taking any kind of responsibility for their problems. They’re just banking on people being too poor to take them to the courts. DO NOT MOVE HERE. Point blank period. You will be treated with disregard & may end up losing out on a ton of money. Not clean. Not luxury by ANY means. Save yourself the headache."

"I have been here about a month and so far so good. I was a little skeptical because of the reviews but my personal experience has been fine. The move in process went smooth. Silvana at the office was awesome. She was friendly and answered all of my questions. She always replied to my emails in a timely manner. A lot of the reviews mentioned roaches so I kept a look out at move in. I only saw 2 the first day and 1 on the second day however pest control came and sprayed on the second day and I haven't seen anymore ever since. You can always schedule if you need service. I had new carpet and the apartment was very clean. I didn't realize there are no ceiling fans or lights in the living room or bedroom, but that is no big deal.My lamps provide plenty of light. The apartment is also surprisingly spacious.I also like that there is no breed restrictions but I do not like that pet owners do not pick up after their dogs, even in the dog park, so you do have to watch where you step, especially in the dark if walking your dog in the grassy areas.I am a dog owner as well and would appreciate if others would also be mindful and clean up after their dogs, it's not hard to do and only takes seconds. Other than that it is quiet, there are lots of trees and nice landscaping. The location is great. 5 minutes away from the Avenues mall, target, walmart, good restaurants and other stores. Overall I am very satisfied."
