Having relocated to Southwest Florida in 2005, Dr. Burt has been an integral part of Elmquist Eye Group since 2009, where she is dedicated to providing personalized care to each patient. Originally from South Africa, Dr. Burt's journey has been one of diverse cultural experiences. She spent nine years in South Africa before moving to Brazil, where she became fluent in Portuguese. In 1994, she moved to the United States to advance her education. Dr. Burt holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with honors from Union University in Tennessee and earned her Doctor of Optometry degree with honors from Nova Southeastern University in Florida.
