"I lived there for 3 years. It was a nice place. Spend the whole covid pandemic and it was no problem at all. Any issues i had with plumbing or the like were resolved quickly even during weekends. Homely community."
"I have lived here since June 2020, in that time there's been 3 or 4 manament company changes, each one doing less and less and charging more than the previous one. I started out in a 3 bedroom in building 1400 and was in the apartment fire that happened May 2022. The leasing company at the time didn't offer any support other than putting us in a new unit and forcing us to renew our leases in that unit. 4 of the 8 units involved in the fire including myself had total loss of all or most of our belongings. Management told us property insurance was included in our monthly rent but when we all went to make claims we were told it's just liability for the building itself and nothing inside. I am still trying to pay off furniture that was lost in the fire. They didn't have any 3 or 4 bedroom units available only 1 and 2 bedrooms so we were forced to downgrade. I moved into the 700 building and that was the best apartment I lived in at the entire Lakewood Oaks property. The parking lot always flooded even with a small rain shower always around ankle deep. During a hurricane it goes over the sidewalks and almost into the tailpipe of most cars in the lot. In fall 2022 I downgraded due to rising rent prices to a studio apartment in the 200 building and that was by far the worst apartment. When I moved in I noticed bugs in the stove clock and was ensured they were being treated and would die. In the matter of a few months my apartment was packed full of roaches despite cleaning every day and using my own roach killer and still paying for pest control as a part of the monthly rent. I lost hundreds of dollars of appliances, food, and electronics. There was a pipe leak behind the fridge and it took maintenance 4 hours to come out and do very little about it. I was forced to live with nasty standing water for a week while the issue was fixed. A year later as I'm moving out the leak happened again and when I informed the property manager I was told they don't have maintenance on staff right now. Several pieces of my furniture were damaged the first time and there was no offer to help repair or replace my loss of belongings. Run far away from this complex. The maintenance repairs are cheaply done and take forever to get done. Roaches will control your apartment. Management is not always in office even during posted hours and now charge you to hold packages in the office because Amazon is too lazy to deliver directly to your door for larger items that do not fit in the locker."
"This is for the managers for the owners of the property, pay attention to the admistration of this property, the manager of July of 2023 she didn't know what she talking about, she had different pricing everyday we went to see how much is the appartments. She will offer in appartment today the next day another one, because the one she offer first someone else has it. She told my mom to leave $100 dollars to save the appartment then the week after she told her the it waesnt $100 dollar to save the appartment it was $500 dollars to save the appartment. Money we never got back in fact they are charging us $724 dollars for the month of August 2023 for the rent because we use to leave there in a one bedroom appartment we left on July of 2023 and they were charging for the month of August even tho we no longer leave there. Terrible management team. Don't waste your time going there is not worth it."
"Tenants have broken the wooden privacy fence and feel the need to dump their trash on the property on the other side of said privacy fence. Someone will have to pay for repairs."
"This is the most loudest apartment me and my wife ever lived at. The Mexicans have no respect for the neighbors here. CONSTANTLY LOUD MUSIC almost every day and ESPECIALLY at night.. The have alcohol bottles all over the place.. Driving drunk speeding in the complex at night. Most of us that lives here think the office people let them do it.. Non stop. Cant rest and CONSTANTLY have to watch our cars due to drunk drivers.. Also little kids watching toddlers in the street playing while the parents are partying drunk not paying attention. If it was anywhere else. They would have been out.. No action is taken here. Out of control! Worse place ever!"
