“Excellent facility with great staff. We were new visitors holidaying in the area so as my experienced climber son was under 18 I had to do the refresher course for belaying and he did the competency check. Both were done by the wonderful David who was really friendly and very knowledgeable. After completing the courses we went on to climb for a couple of hours until we were both knackered (!) We’re now hoping to come back for another session before we head home. A must for any keen climber and worth travelling to.”

“Good beds and spacious rooms. Shower was lovely. Quietly located and directly at bus stop to go to Edinburgh. The inn next to the hotel was very cozy and decorated with care. Here you come for breakfast. That breakfast was perfect. Good to know that breakfast is chosen from the menu and there is no buffet. Children can make limited choice from the breakfast menu.”

“Son had his 8th birthday party here. The venue has plenty space for the kids and the staff were superb! All the kids loved it and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who wants their kids to burn off some energy with their friends”

“Met a friend for afternoon scones and a drink as a wee birthday treat. Service was excellent, staff were friendly and courteous. Scones were warm and delicious with a mountain of clotted cream and home made jam. Complimentary nibbles and a very good double espresso. Beautiful decor in the Peacock Lounge. Felt like a real treat and was reasonably priced.”

As a Diamond member, I stay in many Hilton properties in the U.S., and they'd do well to spend a week at this establishment to see how a hotel should be run. “Great place to take the kids, but can cost a small fortune as there's also arcades inside tenpin as well as the bowling. Can order food and drinks at your lane and they come in a reasonable time. Went during October break so was quite busy.”

Moms will have Kitchen to bedroom all furniture and accessories at one roof. Interested in Gardening then should not miss garden section. Dads will be happy with all DIY and Christmas decorations at one place. Kids will love the Art, decoration and toys section. Don't miss to get ready to eat food from Iceland after bags full of shopping. Hope you will enjoy this place. Cheers.”

“I'm not usually the type to choose a hotel room over an Airbnb but the main purpose of this trip was to work remotely for a bit whilst also have the opportunity to explore the city in the evening. I chose this hotel mainly for its location, price and convenience. Beds were very comfortable and friendly staff. Close to many cafes and restaurants. We didn't make use of the transport or cars during our stay and we walked around to explore the city.”
