“We only ate and drank here and while it may just be 3 star hotel today, it is on the way up thanks to its new owners. The restaurant was full, always a good sign and the food was fabulous. Staff were very friendly and the bar was excellent with amazing views. Watch the Derrynane Hotel go from strength to strength after this very challenging year for the hospitality industry. They deserve to be successful.”

“This is the best little hostel I have ever stayed in. I stayed in 2004 and now again in 2019 and it is a gorgeously preserved and decorated traditional Irish farmhouse..with all creature comforts.. the heating was on the rainy evening in August when I arrived and it was super cosy. The bedroom floors are wooden and the rooms are spotless and fully furnished like a family home And nicely de orated. There is a quaint traditional and homely feel throughout. With lamps and plants throws and cushions and rugs.The kitchen is also lovely with wooden doors cooker mi microwave etc...the living room has an old fashioned wooden dresser full of ro Kerry and there is a fireplace and big dining table with views of a lu h garden of shrubs and trees through brightly curtained windows. I don't know why I took so long to rediscover this lovely place”

“Absolutely lovely place to stay. The staff are wonderful and the rooms were spotless, if a little cold overnight when the radiators turn off. The shower takes a while to warm up and I'd say be careful where you direct the jets so as to keep the floor dry! Although they can't resume breakfast service yet, they provided filter coffee on our first day and have tea and coffee making facilities. There's a lovely common area with comfy chairs and sofas, and an electric fireplace and sofa near the check-in desk. Special thanks to David for a lovely chat when I didn't join the rest of my group in going out one evening! Also it was lovely to meet Lexi the dog who was very well behaved and friendly. A huge thanks to the whole team for accommodating us and providing such a lovely spot so central — this is across the road from some nice pubs and a nice cafe/restaurant.”

“My wife and I stayed here for two nights during part of our honeymoon. It's in an awesome location, not far from all that Killarney has to offer, but far enough away that you're tucked back away from the busy street. Our host couldn't have been more kind and helpful in recommending places to eat and other things of interest in the area. It's a great place to stay if you plan to drive the Ring of Kerry!”

“I popped in here on the road from Limerick to Cork as I had to take a work call and needed somewhere that was comfortable and quiet. I went to the restaurant with a request for a cup of coffee and somewhere to take a call. the girl serving at the bar directed me to one of their snug lounges so I would not be interrupted and she would drop the coffee down to me. The service here I found to be exceptional and friendly. so much so, I felt the need to write this review to highlight the kindness and generosity of the staff.”

“Hot damn this burger is a 5 star for me. Perfectly cooked. Nice big thick 8oz at opposed to two 4oz patties. 2 big beefy onion rings and chipotle mayo, seasoned chips, coleslaw, and relish on the side thankfully not in the burger. Just reaaaly wonderful. And a great atmosphere outside on a nice day watching the rugby. So glad I strolled in randomly.”

“Top class. We've gotten various bits from them loads of times and every time they have been so brilliant and great to deal with. Ciaran was a gentleman, always rang us with news on delays and made sure to fit in delivery times to suit us. The prices are very competitive and they made sure to advice us as to what would work best for us. We never felt like they we're just looking for the sale. They were even great when we had a painter stain the new carpet. Sent a specialist to us that day to clean it, fantastic service. We won't go anywhere else when if we need anything. Would highly recommend. We'll definitely be back a lot more.”

“Me and my mother came across Chingon a few weeks back, and we can both say that we are delighted we did! I got the most delicious birria tacos, and my mother got the burrito bowl which was also really delicious, we both were really impressed by the food! unfortunately I didn’t take photos, I was too excited to get stuck in! We were also chatting away with the owner while there, and he was a really friendly man, and clearly passionate and talented with what he does! So was lovely to chat away to him also while there! Overall can say we highly recommend!”
