Outdoor pool in Cork

“Peaceful place to relax or catch a boat out to Gairnish Island in the tourist season. Short walk with pretty views across the bay. You might be lucky to watch seals basking on the rocks.”

Ever since the place has been called Drake's Pool.”

“Grate place to visit and find out the history of Cork City's water supply. Theres more to it than you'd think. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful too. The self guided tours are available in multiple languages.”

“Beautiful large pool on the Shannon, situated next to martello towers and walk way on one side, with the marina and walk on the other side area. A lovely Shannonside amenity.”

“€18 for 1hr , wet suits extra so bring ur own. Safety helmet and boyance vest provided. The kids are boated out to the aqua park. Kids loved it. There is a restaurant above the aqua pk shop so u can sit and have a drink and food waiting for kids if suits u. Outdoor dining only at moment. Food tasty but service was slow day we were there as it was very busy. Young waiting staff very friendly but not enough working on that day which was tough on them. Aqua Pk is well worth a day out.”

“The attention to detail by the staff here is impressive. Was having a study day and every lsdt thing was done for us. Delicious home baked scones, started our day and we were super impressed. Comfy beds, power showers and great food. Thanks to Chloe, Abby and Susan plus all the many gents for taking care of our wee group.”

“Fantastic, well-run adventure center that provides numerous fun outdoor activities such as kayaking, rock-climbing and hill-walking for all age groups The instructors are all very well qualified and knowledgeable on outdoor pursuits, as well as being very pleasant and fun to deal with. If your eager to get your kids attention away from their phones & tablets and to develop an appreciation of nature and outdoor pursuits, then this is the place for you!”

“Have just left from my stay here and I am blown away. I stay in hotels very often and this is officially my top hotel in Ireland. It was lovely to still see the Christmas decorations up. The lobby was stunning, very elegant. Check in was quick and easy and ended up with an upgrade to a suite, we were delighted. They were very friendly at the front desk. The room was perfect. Bed was so comfy. Only fault was that it was very very warm, but we opened a window and it sorted the problem. We had 2 courses included in our stay. Dinner was incredible. Myself and my partner tried different things off the menu and everything was to perfection. We spent the evening relaxing in the room. Breakfast was buffet style which we were pleasantly surprised by. It had all breakfast options and it was delicious. Didn’t get to use the pool or spa facilities but from what we saw they looked great! Overall , we had an amazing time and we will definitely be back. Thank you too all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.”

“I went in to look for a paint for my daughters bedroom, I found the staff helpful and nice. I didn't find the colour I was looking for, so the lady at the valspar counter mixed the exact colour I needed. I even got to add sparkle! Very good quality paint. Easy to apply. I will be back for some more paint soon. Thank you for your help and advice.”

“Popped in yesterday for lunch and it was my first time in the hotel despite being a Cork native. I wouldn't normally write a review for a hotel lunch but I just couldn't get over the staff. It felt like I'd popped into my nans house for a cuppa. They're so lovely and warm and welcoming, an absolute credit to the place.”
