“I went to Barry for my second pregnancy after a traumatic experience with the delivery of my first baby. Unfortunately we had a loss with second pregnancy for which Barry supported with great care. The care Jody, his secretary, showed during this time I will never forget either. Luckily for us we fell pregnant again and I had the positive birth I had hoped and dreamed of under Barry’s care- the positive birth we all deserve. He really “delivered!”, he made good decisions to give me the best chance of a positive experience, the labour was controlled and he listened to and supported my wishes.He is a true women’s health advocate and I strongly recommend. I will be forever grateful for this experience and I am still walking on air since the birth. Thank you thank you Barry, Helen and to Jody”

“It can be daunting going in there but you are put at ease with great care of the hospital staff the nurses the doctors and other visitors, also the volunteers. They all do a wonderful job and put you at ease the best they can. Much appreciated their time and experience. You can enter the oncology department from the side entrance it takes some time of from walking from the main entrances.”

“Fantastic facility”

“I have been using Declan over the last 4 years for helping with my hip pain, his expertise in the field puts you at ease straight away. Initially for lighter pain he advised different options, physio, cortisone steroid treatment and maybe surgery if pain persists. I went with cortisone as I work in the hospitality industry and needed immediate relief and couldn’t afford time off work. It was exactly what he said, a minor procedure which immediately relieved my pain. Unfortunately a few years later I was involved in a car accident which increased the laberal tear and I was now living with severe hip pain on a daily basis. I had no option but surgery due to the severity of the injury and I kept putting the surgery off until the pain was unbearable. With covid and time off work it was the ideal time to get it done. His team organised and booked me into the Bons secour hospital overnight and the surgery went great. I must commend the staff and team at the hospital aswell, they couldn’t have been nicer or done enough. The recovery was tough going as I never had surgery before and wasn’t used to been laid up for a 2/3 weeks but to say I feel like a new man is an understatement. I couldn’t believe it, 100% pain free. The aftercare and follow up was there to help me along the way, I’m just sorry I didn’t get it done two years ago. I can’t thank Declan and his team enough and recommend him highly if you want peace of mind and the most experienced surgeon in this field.”

“The Cork clinic is located on the Western Road and contains offices for a variety of medical practitioners. Block A and B are two storey with toilet facilities. There is a car park located on site €2.50 for 1 hour or €4.00 for two hours. Spaces are limited though.”
