“My husband and I traveled to Ireland for the first time to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Throughout our journey we traveled over 840 kilometers within the first four days. While encountering many bed and breakfast locations and hotels, none of them compare to the Liss Ard Estate. This Estate is absolutely stunning and surround by views of the countryside, a beautiful garden and a forest fit for a picture book beside a robust lake. Upon arriving at the Estate we were accommodated with the most outstanding hospitality and professionalism. We appreciated every detail this Estate offers that truly made our vacation feel as if we were on a magical retreat. Throughout our stay my husband and I feel like we have gained friends due to the amazing courtesy shown by the staff of the Estate as they perfected every detail of our stay. We just want to say thank you to everyone for making our vacation one we will never forget. “I have to say I actually was going to Benedict's when I found out they had closed, look across the st and there was Kalbos. Lovely small intimate cafe. Serves good food and good prices. Breakfast toastie with gubeen bacon and fried egg in a toasted sandwich and had a seriously good hot chocolate. I will say it was definitely one of the better hot chocolates and toasted sandwiches I've had in a while. Really good job. And the staff are lovely. Also asked for ketchup with no bother at all. I asked for the Wi-Fi after I entered it wrong and they spelled it out for me even though it was there. All the little things count. Very happy and will definitely get the toastie and hot choc for a 10er again.”

“We have passed this place countless times and decided on a whim on this sunday evening to stop in. Lovely dinner in a friendly family bar. Good choices and menu but didn't see any vegetarian or vegan options on mains (but we are meat eaters anyway). We had beef and hake in mussel sauce. Yummy! Attentive and friendly staff too!”

“· Marguerite was a fantastic host. The beds were very comfortable, view from the room was incredible. The shower was one of the best parts it was like having a massage. The breakfast was gorgeous and very changeable if you did or didn't want anything. The house is very close to Baltimore and Lough hyne, you need a car to get around there. Beautiful stay over all we will definitely stay here again! Thank you Marguerite for a lovely stay.”
