“We went during the low season and it ended up being a private tour! Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave lots of different details. He was also well known in the community, so others kept saying hello- which made us feel like we were with a true local!! What a great experience, one of our favorite memories from the entire trip.”

“I was in bad need of new runners last November when lockdowns mostly meant buying blind from online shops or ordering local to collect. I ordered a pair of Asics runners in my usual shoe size but when I called down to collect them & tried them on they were a bit tight. The owner was able to recommend a different style that would suit me better & that I should go up half a size too. He definitely knows his stuff as the runners he recommended fit like a glove & made a huge difference to how much further I could push myself. You won't get that kind of service from an anonymous online shop!”

“I love this Spar. They have a good selection on prepared meals ready to cook oe reheat There is an on site cafe 'Insomnia', there are fresh cakes and sandwiches. In the main shop they have a hot counter. There is also a large washer and dryer in the carpark along with a carwash. There is an ATM on site.”

“A top class family run chipper, ingredients and cook are always on point. Sauce selection is very good and judging by the taste of their curry sauce, pink sauce and coleslaw they are made in house with own recipes, same goes for their battered products must use fresh1/4 pounder and savaloys for them and the meat quality is excellent. pizza are always good you can taste the texture and consistency of the dough would remind you of pizza in Italy. Seems no matter what you order from the menu they have a touch of home cooking about it. even the seasoning and herbs used in the donner kebabs would suggest they are making the kebab meat in house. 100% would recommend.Bring back the coleslaw it's sorely missed”

“Have just left from my stay here and I am blown away. I stay in hotels very often and this is officially my top hotel in Ireland. It was lovely to still see the Christmas decorations up. The lobby was stunning, very elegant. Check in was quick and easy and ended up with an upgrade to a suite, we were delighted. They were very friendly at the front desk. The room was perfect. Bed was so comfy. Only fault was that it was very very warm, but we opened a window and it sorted the problem. We had 2 courses included in our stay. Dinner was incredible. Myself and my partner tried different things off the menu and everything was to perfection. We spent the evening relaxing in the room. Breakfast was buffet style which we were pleasantly surprised by. It had all breakfast options and it was delicious. Didn’t get to use the pool or spa facilities but from what we saw they looked great! Overall , we had an amazing time and we will definitely be back. Thank you too all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.”

“Best meal we’ve had so far during our stay in Cork. We came upon this bar and restaurant while visiting Cobh for the day. They had seats available outside, which are great when the weather is lovely. The staff were great and the food was delicious! We had the chicken burger and chicken curry for dinner and fun on the beach and a pint of guinness for drinks. We will definitely be back again next time!”
