“Exceptionally warm welcome with tea and scones after a long day of driving we were given our choice of rooms. One with a nice study desk and another with sea views to Beara Peninsula. The bed was comfy and the room spotless. Beautiful grounds with a number of outdoor tables and chairs. Breakfast the following morning was phenomenal. We really hope to visit again.”

“We went on a sunset tour with Captain Darren yesterday! (27/06) It was absolutely amazing. Really knowledgeable guide and the views were stunning. We also learned about a two timing eagle and the French armada. And to tip it off, a spot of fishing. All in all I would highly recommend the Bantry bay charter company and the sunset tour in particular and the prices are amazing too! Ps, photos really do not do the views justice”

“Before i began my treatment at Bantry Dental I was terrified of dentists and all I can say now is that it was the best decision I could have made and I no longer have a phobia of dentists! I used to be so ashamed of my smile : I hid away in photos or smiled with my lips pursed closed! Now I smile proudly and no longer hide away in photos! I never imagined I could have had straight teeth and when I signed up for 6 month smiles I could not believe the transformation in my smile. My teeth realigned so quick and I could see constant progress. I also loved the fact that the braces are clear so I wasn't shy or embarrassed at work or when socializing. The staff are fantastic and so accommodating especially with arranging and changing appointments to be suited to my working hours. Claire is an exceptional dentist and a perfectionist! She has the solution to every problem and has many options to correct teeth , which are tailored and sensitive to everyone's budget. I would genuinely recommend Bantry Dental to everyone especially those who were like me and afraid of the dentist. I actually enjoy calling into Bantry Dental now and know I am in safe hands! “We came for a burger and pizza, the second time. Very nice stuff, always happy and joking. The chef is brilliant, he did come to our table to give us information, when we asked about the pizza and came later again to ask if we enjoyed. We had the best vegan burgers ever!!! Homemade, very yummy chips and the pizza is very good too. Thanks!”

“We stayed here in order to be close to our grandparents who live down the hill and it was the most stunning stay! We could not believe the incredible views from the lodge. It was so warm and had all the facilities that we could need and more. The size was lovely, Nora was amazing. Thank you for having us! So beautiful and we hope to be back soon!”

“We had the most wonderful time at Westerly house with family in August. The house is beautiful, great space for everyone to come together and rooms to allow for some quiet time. We got great use out of the outdoor canadian hot tub, such a great facility to have! Equally the kayaks, we were out nearly twice a day on the kayaks... The children especially loved jumping off the pontoon into the bay. Al of the bedrooms are gorgeous but the Victorian White bedroom is a showstopper... Absolutely stunning... The gardens are also really well maintained.. we enjoyed exploring all the books and crannies.. Overall we would highly recommend Westerly house for an amazing stay in West Cork.. I only wish it was pet friendly so we could bring the canine family member too !”

“Just back from a great stay here. Siobhan is a brilliant host, so friendly and welcoming. We had a beautiful room with a great view of the bay, a view that changed so much morning to evening it was like staying in a different room. The bed was so comfortable and every detail was thought of, like providing wine glasses, bottled water and a coffee machine and selection of herbal teas in each room. The breakfast was fantastic, beautiful, locally sourced bacon and eggs and the bread was out of this world. I'd give it 6 stars if I could.”

“Really delicious seafood with outdoor seating area. We got the seafood chowder, mango and prawn salad, hake cajuns, oysters, and a small cheese cake. COVID conscious business. Very popular so you might have to wait for a seat at peak time. We came here for lunch on a Saturday and waited 20 min or so before we got a seat. They also sell fresh fish here if you are looking for ingredients for your next seafood dish.”

Orders always arrive packaged great and with a little note and a teabag just for me!! It's the little touches that I love. Food here is fab also, definitely recommended.”

“After a car breakdown we needed a B&B to stay in so took a shot that they would have a room, we could not have had a better experience. When we arrived we were stressed and tired but that changed in minutes with a lovely cup of tea and ginger bread in the garden. Everyone was just so lovely and the room and B&B were fabulous (they even gave us a incredibly generous gift of a bottle of Prosecco to celebrate our honeymoon). I cannot recommend Doire Liath highly enough.”

The food is excellent, fresh and local and plenty of choice. It’s is simply not in me to give a perfect review so here goes; What is it with Cork and small sausages!!??? Get some big Dublin bangers in then this place is faultless! Will be back!”

“Teasey's Bistro has fabulous food, reasonably priced and very friendly staff who are very attentive. They were very accomodating for a group of 8. The owner Noreen AKA Teasey, leads by example, it is obvious why her staff are excellent. We felt we got to know people personally on our 7 day visit. When you are in Bantry make sure to visit Teasey's.”
