Fresh Green Light Driving School is the best driving school in Fairfield County, as voted by the 2018, 2019, and 2020 Fairfield Magazine Readers Poll. Located at 74 Edgerton Street in Darien, Connecticut, this institution offers online classes for students starting on their 16th birthday. The required Parent/Student Class is the first class, which must be attended by one parent with the student. Driving lessons include four 2-hour sessions, all beginning and ending at Fresh Green Light facilities. Please note that there is currently a 4-5 week wait for driving lessons. The 30-hour course is divided into 15 two-hour classes, which are all offered online through Zoom. Students can attend up to four hours of class per day on weekends, summers, and school holidays. The institution also offers an 8-hour class for individuals 18 years and older. Driving lessons must be scheduled online through the Student Center, and a strict 24-hour cancellation policy is enforced. The DMV requires the use of a Fresh Green Light vehicle for the road test, which can be scheduled at any of their locations. Upon passing the road test, students will receive a temporary driver's license.

The school also offers the DMV Road Test at all of their locations, with advance sign up required. Upon passing the Road Test, students receive a temporary Driver's License, with the physical license being sent by mail from the DMV.
