Sawmill Park

The park is open to the public every day of the year, offering visitors a chance to explore the picturesque mill pond, wood bridges over Lee Brook, and the historic mill buildings. The Ledyard Up-Down sawmill is a rare example of a water-powered up-and-down sawmill, restored to operating condition in the 1970s and operated by volunteers. Visitors can witness sawing demonstrations on Saturday afternoons in the spring and fall, free of charge. The park also features a blacksmith shop, circular sawmill, shingle machine, ice harvesting tools, gristmill, and other mill artifacts for visitors to explore.
