Macquarie Street, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia

“Beautiful location, wonderful grounds and gardens and if you're lucky you can catch a glimpse of an ongrounds band playing music all whilst overlooking Sydney Harbour, the Opera House and the Botanic Gardens. An often overlooked treasure, highly recommended to visit.”

Aharoni Jewellery

● Closed
88-96 Bunda Street, Canberra ACT 2601, Australia

“I recently purchased a hand crafted engagement ring from Aharoni jewellers and I honestly couldn't be happier with the end product. Eytan, Nurit and Daniel are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate jewellers who take immense pride in their work. They have an amazing collection of gemstones from which to select, but were also uniquely flexible and accommodating of me when I wanted to use a familial gemstone with sentimental value. They managed to obtain some truly outstanding and unique diamonds to accompany this gemstone, and were extremely receptive of my requests throughout the entire process. I was also amazed by how quickly they crafted the ring. The end product was ready just three weeks after I paid my deposit - most commercial jewellers take much longer even just to resize a ring, let alone creating a unique piece of jewellery. Most importantly, they are a genuine family run business, who care deeply about their craft. It is rare to come across a family owned business which takes as much pride in their work as they do. This made the entire experience feel personalised and special. All in all, I cannot recommend them enough! Thank you so much Eytan, Nurit and Daniel for crafting a truly exceptional piece of jewellery...”

“A wonderful solo date at City Recital Hall whilst on business. Beautifully set out, easy to find and a nice area to have a beverage at intermission. The seating and sound was wonderful. I thoroughly enjoy the event.”

Tipsy Bull

● Closed
5 Lonsdale Street, Braddon ACT 2612, Australia

“Talk about a gem. I'd never heard of Tipsy Bull before but I can see it quickly becoming one of my favourite places for a night out. From the gin boards to the AMAZING food coming out of the kitchen, the entire experience from start to finish is amazing. The price is reflective of quality here and I would highly recommend everyone give Tipsy Bull a go, even if you're not typically a gin drinker!”

Mrs Macquarie's Chair

● Closed
1d Mrs Macquaries Road, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia

“One of the best vantage points of Sydney but busier at sunset. Be prepared for a 1km walk to get there through the Botanical gardens or from St Mary's cathedral. Tourist buses can make it a bit hectic at times now that tourism is back on. Please read the history of the place, and namesake for added poignancy (Brontë and Austen fans especially) and appreciation. (Clue: There is a chair to which a road was built).”

National Museum of Australia

● Closed
Lawson Crescent, Acton ACT 2601, Australia

“Great museum (probably the best we visited in Canberra) to spend a few hours. There’s a variety of exhibits showcasing everything from dinosaur skeletons to cars to Australian history. The design of the space is also really interesting—the building is set up so you almost get sucked into an area and then find yourself wandering around before you exit into a different themed room with a completely different atmosphere. We combined this visit with a trip to the National Capital Exhibition and Commonwealth Park which was a short walk or Uber away, which was nice because we then got to view the roller coaster shaped National Museum building from a distance. It’s also worth mentioning that the small but really well maintained gardens outside this museum were stunning and very educational. Definitely spend some time exploring this green space. Overall, highly recommend and a must do when visiting Canberra!”
