“Such a great riding experience! The scenery was stunning and the people were super friendly and helpful.”
Jamison Plaza Travel Associates
“We have organised numerous trips with Jenna Lewis from Travel Associates and have found that she is always exceptionally helpful, friendly and highly organised. She goes over and above to ensure that you will have the most amazing and memorable trip and nothing is ever an issue. Jenna suggested and organised many smaller details that we had not considered ahead of our trips. Her recommendations are well researched, she took a pipe dream idea from rookie travelers and turned it into an all inclusive holiday of a lifetime. My family and I cannot thank and recommend Jenna and the team highly enough.”
Communities at Work Weston Creek
“I commenced at Communities at Work in July 2022. Since then, I have met some wonderful and committed team members who are a joy to work with. The team uphold the values of the organisation daily by performing their roles diligently and providing the best possible service. I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to invest my experience and learn from others while making a difference in the lives of those we work with and for.”
The Saddle Camp
“I spent two nights in the tiny house within the saddle camp and it was amazing! I utterly enjoyed my stay and Helen's hospitality. The timeliness whenever I need help/information is truly incredible. It was very cold but thankfully the heater and everything kept me warm!”
Government House
“Lovely spot to start a walk around the surrounding area - access to multiple major paths are just off the parking area in front of the main entry to Government House, or park further up for lovely walks under the shady trees”
Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve
“A great place to explore with the family and show off some local wildlife to visitors. The adventure playground is good place to get kids off screens and playing with friends.”
Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary
“Awesome twilight tour at the sanctuary! Our guides were so knowledgeable and passionate about the conservation efforts at Mulligan's Flat. Learned so much about Australian flora/fauna, and saw a Bettong for the very first time! Also lucked out and saw a quick glimpse of a quoll in the wild. It's a unique experience to see the wildlife in their natural habitat and at the time that they're most active. Would highly recommend joining the tour!”
Jamison Travel
“Great staff, and always friendly. Highly recommend these guys if you need to book a holiday! Thanks Teagan and the lovely ladies at Jamison!”
Australian National Botanic Gardens
“We visited Australian National Botanic Gardens on a weekday. It has lots of flowering plants, trees and nice walking paths. We also saw many iguanas. We had lunch at the Pollen cafe which was almost full house. There is also an interesting bookshop. We enjoyed our visit here.”
Questacon - National Science and Technology Centre
“Truly the best of the best. We went to so many science museum in NSW and Questacon is the best. We spent 5 hours there and try everything out. It contains so many interesting things that the kids loved them so much. The tickets were really worth!”
Canberra Reptile Zoo
“Picked up a random leaflet for this and decided to give it a try since we were staying nearby. We were a bit surprised to find it located behind a shopping centre, but this is a real jewel and a great experience for the kids. Our two children couldn't believe how close they got to the animals and how many they got to touch and stroke. The staff were so friendly and informative. This small quirky animal experience to well worth the visit.”
Old Parliament House
“Great time travel to the past! Had low expectations as I thought it would be old and boring things but the whole place was like frozen in time from the 80’s. I really enjoyed seeing the little details so posters and food from the past. There were a few education exhibits but it was mostly reading things which I am not about. It’s free to enter and a great piece of Australian history. Definitely recommend if you haven’t been since you were a kid or never been!”
Weston Park
“Weston park is always my goto place if I want to fully relieve myself to throw a line in the water, not for the purpose of catching anything but enjoying the calm nature nearby. Lots of facilities around and the kangaroos. You have two nurseries at the entrance on the peninsula and are great too.”
Bruce Ridge Nature Reserve
“Great place to walk a dog (on lead). Lots of kangaroos & a few rabbits left after the last cull. Beautiful views to the city and parliament house. Best of all a quick walk or cycle from Dryandra St O'Connor through to the AIS.”
National Library of Australia
“First time coming here as I used for uni study. Lovely library. So spacious. Only down side for books not available to get in a Sunday so had to come back to get use of during the week. The man at the front was a bit rude also, Sid I couldn’t take in my laptop cover and had to locker it. It’s not even a bag. Anywho happy to do so but his way of engaging was not pleasant.”
Crest Road Early Learning Centre
“We enrolled our son at Crest Road in July 2017. He was a very shy baby and would cry every day when we dropped him off. After a few months, his lovely teachers were able to encourage him to enjoy school and make some friends. He now loves it! His amazing, lovely teachers in Nursery 2 and Junior Toddlers have been so good to him and have taught him so much. He is developing in leaps and bounds and learning so much every day. We will be sad when he has to grow up and leave the centre.”
AIS Visitor Centre
“What a fanstic place. A must do while you're in Canberra. Great opportunities to do tours and see what many of our Olympic athletes have to go through to represent Australia. There is always a heap of school kids around during the day but they move through quickly.”
Cockington Green Gardens
“We went on a 20° sunny day and it was beautiful! More than expected, amazing staff and I have to say it was quite the experience. Knowing that all the models were made on site blows my mind and I absolutely loved the way everything was set up. I will definitely be re visiting because I didn’t know there was a train ride that does a lap of the Gardens! My highest recommendation for anyone and any age!”
National Capital Exhibition
“Great stop to learn about Canberra and had a decent amount of items in the shop which was local to the city.”
Canberra Museum & Gallery
“Worth a visit and good for something free. It will take about 30minutes to see and read everything if it’s 5 galleries”
Mount Stromlo Observatory
“This was a fascinating place to explore, with both new observatories and older buildings around the site, all within walking distance from each other. Tours are available on certain days but not necessarily needed. At the top there's a breathtaking views, a few biking tracks too and lots of kangaroos in the area.”
