As one of 30 Reserves in the United States, we are dedicated to preserving, protecting, and managing the natural and cultural resources of the Tijuana River Estuary. Our goal is to create opportunities for education and research, while also promoting public access for recreation throughout the Reserve. Visitors to the Tijuana Estuary can enjoy a variety of activities, from hiking and biking to birding and horseback riding. The unique socio-ecological setting of the Reserve makes it an ideal "living laboratory" for researchers, and we offer a range of educational programs that celebrate the natural and cultural resources found in the Estuary.
