Wilderness studies in California

Wildlands Studies, located in Santa Cruz, California, offers exciting and challenging field studies programs for students looking to immerse themselves in nature. With programs ranging from two to six weeks in length, students have the opportunity to hike through mountain meadows, swim in warm ocean waters, and explore coral reefs and sea life. These programs provide a life-changing experience while also offering up to 15 quarter credits conferred by the College of the Environment at Western Washington University. Led by academic experts with either a PhD or MS, Wildlands Studies programs are affordable and empower students to seek their passions.
