"Hiked up here from Lake Dell Valle with a bunch of my childhood friends to reminisce of the days we stayed here for summer camp back in the early to mid 2000's I dont know much about the place now, not sure if it's still run by the Taylor Family foundation but I still have photos & memories of the camp. Happy to see this place is still going strong & hopefully it will continue to make memories for the generations to come As for the haunted side of things. Whether you choose to believe it or not is up to you but we definitely had some weird experiences here During our summer camping trips we always stayed at either of the cabins near the fire pit on the left side of the grounds. Both cabins always had stuff happen that we couldn't explain. We would hear talking out in the hallway by the entrance, bathroom door would close on its on & our stuff would randomly disappear then it would reaper somewhere else in the cabin"
"This camp was amazing both of my daughters science classes went to this camp. I chaperone and know more of its historical history and exsperianced several spiritual encounters . Seeing is believing. I watched all doors open and closed themselves my cabin was the top right nearest to the hillside the cabins have mud rooms and windows on all doors i covered all of them and only seen the doorknob being tried aggressively off and on for about 30 min i knew it wasnt a prank but told the girls it was the boys cabin trying to scare us . The night walk got intense with 2 girls fearing a man or bear and i couldnt see it but felt the fear in both of them we excluded ourselfs back alone ran like hell having a weak flashlight the grounds where the old va hospital and many children and adults died there TB i never heard only seen keep a light with you they wont harm you ."
"Went with 5th graders as part of school camp. Nice facility, good food. Cabins are good - each accommodates 12 persons, 6 bunk beds. 1 bathroom, 1 toilet and 2 sinks per cabin. The programs with the naturalists were excellent. Hiking, night walk were some of the activities that I enjoyed!"
