Banning Pool is a public swimming institution located at 1450 North Avalon Boulevard in Los Angeles, California. From December 17 to March 2nd, recreational hours are available Tuesday to Friday from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 pm to 4:55 pm. Adult lap swim hours are on Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 pm to 4:55 pm. From March 3rd to May 4th, recreational hours are Tuesday to Friday from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 pm to 4:55 pm. Adult lap swim hours are on Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 pm to 4:55 pm. The Citywide Aquatics facility can be contacted at (323) 906-7953 or Citywide.Aquatics@lacity.org. Admission fees range from $1.00 for children to $4.00 for adults. Cash only payments are accepted. The facility offers swim lessons for children and adults, as well as adult lap swimming and family recreational hours. They also provide lifeguard training programs and a junior lifeguard program. Novice sports teams are available for entry-level competitors aged 7-17 who can swim continuously across the pool. Participants must have completed swim level 4 Intermediate of the American Red Cross Learn to Swim Program.
