"My boyfriend and I had the most disappointing experience at this Macy's location. We were excited to explore their sofa section, as we are in the process of furnishing our new home. However, our excitement quickly turned into frustration and humiliation. Within a mere five minutes of sitting on one of the display sofas, we were abruptly asked to leave by an elderly staff member. His demeanor was shockingly rude, and he failed to provide a reasonable explanation for our eviction. It's disheartening to believe that this mistreatment might be racially motivated, as I can't help but wonder if we'd have been treated the same way if we were of a different ethnicity. We've visited multiple Macy's stores in our quest for the perfect sofa, and never have we encountered such an appalling situation. It's mind-boggling that customers are not allowed to sit on display sofas without clear instructions or proper protection measures in place. This incident left us deeply disappointed and humiliated, casting a dark shadow on our perception of Macy's as a reputable store. We sincerely hope that Macy's management takes immediate action to address this issue and ensures that all customers are treated with the respect and fairness they deserve when visiting their stores."
