"This is a review for the spa only. I visited the hotel to use the spa services. The massage was excellent! My massage therapist deserves 5 stars for her skills and therapeutic technique. The amenities at this spa are truly lacking and a huge disappointment. The one hour massage (with add on) was $210 (before tips), which is comparable to other high end places. However, usually at other hotels, that price includes the use of the facilities, including pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, and day beds for sun bathing, as well as nice hair and body products to use after the treatments, so you can get ready for your next activity. I usually leave a spa feeling very relaxed and looking fresh and rejuvenated. Here, NONE of that is included. You have to pay an additional $35 to use the hotel pool or jacuzzi. Additionally, the changing area and lounge had none of the usual spa treats (light snacks, a wide selection of drinks, soft music, or even aromatherapy diffuser for ambience). None of it was available at this spa. They provided a cheap flimsy plastic comb in the bathroom, which broke when I tried to comb my hair after getting an oil scalp treatment. There was no brush available. They had a hair dryer, but what is the use of having a hair dryer when no brush is provided?!! It’s like having a pan available and no cooking utensils. There was nothing else to style my hair or make it half way presentable to go out afterwards. There’s no hair ties, hair products, dry shampoo…NOTHING at all to even put up my hair and make it half way presentable to go in public. It’s the little details that really matters and elevates a business from mediocre to excellent. The massage was excellent here, but the amenities fell way short of expectations. I probably won’t return because as much as I loved the massage, the amenities here were so lacking, it’s a hindrance to having a relaxing day. And why else would anyone go to a spa but to have a relaxing day?!"
"This is one of my most favorite hotels in the Bay Area! It feels so welcoming and offers a fantastic spa, pool and restaurant. The service is exceptional throughout the entire hotel. I love how cozy the rooms feel. You can find quaint areas throughout the property to relax. The restaurant and bar are a fun place to visit even if you're not staying at the hotel."
"Know that this beautiful hotel sits between a doggie daycare/hotel (so lots of barking during the day when they are let out for fresh air and exercise) and a cemetery (much less noise). It's also across from a freeway. The pool is at the back, so choose your listening and viewing options. Not sure why I was given a room next to the dogs when the place was half empty. They were very nice and offered me a new room but I was already unpacked and too lazy to change rooms. If I was back in this area, I'd probably stay here again and request a room of my listening and viewing preference at booking."
"Super quick getaway for a birthday. Hidden oasis here! Hot tub was great. I lived the two cans a day of water in the room. Fridge works but no microwave. Bed is very comfy. We will be doing this again. Summer in their pool would be the bomb!"
"Beautiful space and very attentive staff. Body wash and shampoo/conditioner have a very strong herbal smell which I like but others might not. My room was on the 2nd floor and had a lovely little patio. Very small fitness center, which is located at one end of the pool, was difficult to find at 6am. Signage was confusing but I eventually made it! Two treadmills, one or two elliptical, a stationary bike, free weights, kettle bells and a cable machine (that only has 2 or three attachments). It was fine and I got a good workout in but more than 4 people in there could feel crowded. Easy on-site parking. Coffee maker, hairdryer and safe in the room."
