Originally part of the 1923 purchase of Marine Stadium, this parcel of land was transformed into a passive mini park in 1978, thanks to the dedication and initiative of the Rogers Middle School community. Following the reconfiguration of the Marine Stadium entrance and the construction of the cross-town freeway in 1968, this area was preserved as a peaceful retreat for the local community and visitors alike.
