"Rooms were pretty outdated. Stains on couch, ripped curtains, and lights that would flicker off after being turned on. The concept of motion lights was new to me, and I liked that. They might need to replace some bulbs though. Room did not feel very clean. Gym had a good variety of items."

"Room fairly quiet, but not the elevator alarm stays on all the time. TV has to be picked up and turned towards the couch or bed so at some point it's going to break. Screens are bent open. Dents in wall."

"DEAD ROACH ALERT! I could stop there but let me continue with having to search floor by floor for a bell cart at 11 o'clock at night. Or the fact that the room keys don't work on the side doors or the garbage left in the elevators. I didn't kill the roach. It died of a heart attack! I would recommend staying in the parking lot over venturing into the hotel. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!"

"ROACH INFESTATION + RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF!!! A full roach family made an appearance during my family's stay for a special occasion. There were roaches crawling on my food as soon as I sat it on the counter, on the wall to the entrance of my room, on the wall above the dining table and in cupboards. A colony of baby roaches was in the new room they gave us to make up for the issue (no upgrade). Larissa ,assistant manager, tried to use not charging an incidental fee as leverage to sweep this under the rug and also denied that they have pests. There was no complaint or reason for her to charge my family. The staff made no contact with my room prior to making the report of the pests. So I believe we were facing retaliation for make a legitimate complaint because the truth is a hard pill to swallow. The general manager has failed to provide an adequate response to a clear risk to health and safety despite filing a case with the corporate office. The assistant manager blatantly lied and was very unprofessional in her resolution to this matter. After the reports of the roaches in the second room, she told me that there was nothing that she could do when I advised her of the roaches in the new room. I am urging CORPORATE to investigate this property and staff to make appropriate improvements because the location has potential to be a hidden gem in the Bay Area. Also, this location is tarnishing the standard of high quality service given by Marriott brand. Kudos to Lupe and the Front Office Manager (will update his name later) for upholding quality service while being understanding and transparent about the issues at this location. There is also an awesome fully stocked Oatmeal bar at breakfast and refreshing spa water setup in the lobby. I plan to upload photos/videos of my experiences at a later time to advise and warn visitors to do a thorough check of your room ,especially any items used for cooking, and your belongings when leaving. The bottom line is that roaches can hitch rides, spread illness and cause allergic reactions. The lack of accountability by management is the most disgusting part. I will update this review when I receive a followup about what is being done to remedy the pest situation."

"Staff is friendly and good customer service. We stayed in a studio which had a small kitchen with all appliances and kitchen utensils. Location is great off Dumbarton Bridge and shopping centers next door."
