"We had a mixed experience at Edwin’s. While the service was great, the restaurant was near empty on a Thursday night and the live music was a touch too loud. The food was unique and tasted great, but it was all slightly overpriced compared to others in the area. For example, $38 for one piece of chicken is a little steep. If they can revise their prices and get customers through the door, there’s a lot of potential here!"

"We went on Saturday for my husband's birthday. I recommend getting a reservation. Even though we had a reservation, we still waited for about 15 minutes before we were seated. They have live music on the weekends, i believe. If you are not a fan of loud music, this is not for you. We love music, so we appreciate it. It was our first time coming here, so we don't know if it is always full pack! We ordered the island basket, where the chef picks the food for you. We also ask if they have a red horse ( a filipino beer ), which was not on the menu, but it's my husband's favorite filipino beer, so i thought I'd asked, and it was worth it. We enjoyed the food so much! Absolutely delicious! The ambiance is great, too! It seems like everyone is happy. It took forever for our food to come out though but like i said, everything in the basket was super delicious! I do think that they need to focus a little bit more on checking their customers, i ran out of water many times and i had to wait for someone to be available to come refill our glasses, that was the only disappointing side, other than that,can't wait to go back and bring our family! Update Review: Brought my family here, i made a reservation through the open table, and i specifically wrote on the note that we have 2 kids with us, we got there and the host lady seems to not know what to do with our kids, she sat us all adults but didn't seem to care about our kids, she seemed confused, my husband had to get chairs for the kids. It was weird. No communications at all. It was unwelcoming. We decided to get the basket where the chef chose what to put in it. The baskets cost $250 and should fed 4 adults. But It was more like a food tasting. Not a meal, there wasn't enough food for us. Yeah, it's a huge basket, but lack of food. We were still hungry after, i wouldn't have paid $250 for that."

"Two of us got the Calibonara, which came in a pool of liquid(?), and neither liked it. The prawn pasta was fine and the seafood curry was tasty and had plenty of seafood. There was only one other table when we were seated, yet it seemed they kept serving appetizers to arriving tables after us before making our food. It was confounding and took a very long time to get our meals. I personally don't like when my meal is served on a piece of wood. I really want this annoying fad to go away. Service was very friendly to us visitors even though this seemed like a very "locals" place. It was very lively and I would recommend if you are looking for a fun place to get drinks and apps."

"Finally made it to Edwins! The first time I walked past it I was so excited to see a Filipino-asian-fusion cuisine in downtown Carmel. With dominantly french-american cuisines over there it gets kinda bleh. All great spots don’t get me wrong, but especially being part filipino I was excited to give Edwin’s a shot! Service was top notch, very friendly and he actually spoke the dialect my grandmother spoke which was awesome & unusual to come across. Really warm and family style vibes. Food was DELICIOUS, my boyfriend was spoiled by their tasty & unique lumpia for his first lumpia experience haha. All the dishes we had were plated beautifully and flavor was on point- I would recommend all of these dishes in my photos and we’ll be back soon to try more! If you are looking for a flavorful meal, live music and good vibes highly recommend you skip the often stuffy french or italian spot for an evening and try out Edwins. ;) Support local! Salamat!!"
