"I recently had a wonderful dining experience at Basil Seasonal Dining in Carmel, California. One of the standout features of this restaurant is its dog-friendly atmosphere. As dog owners, we were thrilled to be able to bring our furry companions along, and the staff were incredibly welcoming towards them. For our main dishes, we decided to try the veggie burger and the Mortadella. The veggie burger was a delightful homemade creation, featuring a flavorful combination of pesto mayo, chickpeas, quinoa, carrot patty, walnuts, braised onions, and Monterey jack cheese. Each bite was packed with deliciousness, and the burger felt healthy and satisfying at the same time. The Mortadella, made fresh with burrata, arugula, lemon dressing, black truffle, and olive oil, was equally impressive. The flavors melded together beautifully, and the quality of the ingredients shone through. To warm ourselves up on a chilly day, we opted for the vegetarian tomato soup. It was the perfect choice. The soup was rich, flavorful, and comforting, making for a satisfying start to our meal. What truly stood out during our visit was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was enjoyable. They not only provided superb attention to detail but also took the time to interact with and pamper our canine companions. They greeted and petted our dogs and even brought them some snacks. It was heartwarming to see such care and consideration for our four-legged friends. To end our meal on a sweet note, we indulged in the mouthwatering bread pudding. The dessert exceeded our expectations with its heavenly texture and delectable flavors. It was the perfect finale to an already incredible dining experience. Overall, our visit to Basil Seasonal Dining was nothing short of exceptional. The restaurant's dog-friendly environment, delicious food, and top-notch service made for a truly memorable experience. "It used to be a much better place to eat .. Caffe was old, no pesto with bread and food was ok. My dish was $50 but I can not say it was food to die for ."

"After roaming on the busy Ocean Ave in Carmel trying to find a place to dine in, we came to this restaurant. It was not so busy and had beautiful outdoor seating, which was perfect for the weather. We had garlic bread which came with pesto and was scrumptious. My toddler loved meatballs and french fries. We also tried lasagna, crispy potatoes and caprese focaccia sandwich. Food tasted fresh and delicious. Our server was friendly and attentive. We were glad to find this restaurant as it is little hidden from the main street. Also, this place is dog-friendly. Restroom was clean. We definitely had a good time."
