"DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE A 1996 OR OLDER VEHICLE!!! Instead go to Smog 805 at 4533 Telephone Rd Suite A, Ventura, CA 93003 for an upstanding business who actually does smog all cars, SUV's, trucks and motorhomes, including 1996 or older vehicles as advertised, and walk-ins are always welcome. Xpress Smog Check's website promises "We Smog Test all Vehicle! we have the equipment and the know-how to perform your smog test. We test all types of vehicles, cars, trucks, vans, SUV’s, motor homes, limousines and commercial vehicles. We are STAR Certified Test Only Station and offer smog check, smog test for all vehicles." However, when I went to get my 1993 f-150 smogged they admitted this was false advertisement and they only test 1996 or newer vehicles. Beware of these liars who perpetuate fraudulent information for capital gain and to waste the time of their potential customers. *EDIT* I appreciate your response and although it is fabricated, it's nice that you again admit that your website falsely advertises your business services. As quoted "We Offer The Best Rate & Customer Satisfaction! – No appointment is necessary.” But suddenly, I need an appointment, which was never before expressed to me, and I am being discriminated against due to my vocational vehicle. Please upload proof of a disclaimer on your website that clearly states "we only do older vehicles like yours by appointment only” as you noted in your response. I had a polite conversation with the service technician, who again admitted that you do not smog check all Cars, SUV’s Trucks, Vans, RV’s as advertised on your website, only 1996 or newer, and now conveniently you refuse the service again due to retaliation, because I exposed your fraudulent advertising practices. An upstanding and honest business owner, with the best interest of their customers and employees at heart, would take responsibility for their actions, admit fault, and seek a mutually beneficial solution, instead of hiding behind their own ignorance. I have actually been a loyal customer for several years, and the fact that you do not know this shows how much you excel in customer service, and I will no longer do business with an entity that blatantly lies and breaks the law. Under state law (California Business and Professions Code § 17500), false and deceptive advertising is strictly prohibited and I will be seeking litigation."
