Welcome to the Pico Rivera Library, a cornerstone of knowledge and community engagement located at 9001 Mines Avenue, Pico Rivera, California. Established in 1917, our library has grown into a vibrant 16,000 square foot facility, dedicated on December 14, 2013, offering a wide range of resources and services to residents of Pico Rivera and surrounding areas. As the larger of the two libraries serving the city, we also provide support to two smaller libraries in the unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County. Our library is more than just a place to read and borrow books. We host a variety of events and programs, such as the LA County Library’s Annual Bookmark Contest, inviting young artists from grades K-12 to showcase their creativity. We also partake in the One Book, One County celebration, bringing our community together through shared reading experiences.

Since its dedication on June 13, 1970, Alondra Library has been a cornerstone of learning and cultural enrichment, proudly serving Norwalk with a focus on Mexican-American heritage and culture. With an initial collection of nearly 15,000 volumes, the library has grown to become a vibrant space for education, creativity, and community engagement. The Friends of Alondra Library, a dedicated volunteer-run organization, plays a vital role in supporting the library and its events. Through their efforts, the library continues to thrive as a center for cultural and educational activities. The library offers a wide range of services, including access to a diverse collection of books, eBooks, and digital media, ensuring that patrons of all ages can find something to enjoy.
