Proudly serving the Carson area since its establishment in 1938, Carson Library has evolved from its origins as the Keystone Branch to become a cornerstone of knowledge and community engagement. The library merged with the Carson Branch in 1959, and our current building opened its doors in 1972. After a comprehensive renovation in 2023, our facility continues to serve the community across 19.24 square miles, offering a blend of traditional and modern resources. Carson Library is a proud member of the LA County Library system and is supported by the Friends of the Library, who provide invaluable services to enhance our offerings. Each year, we host engaging events such as the LA County Library’s Annual Bookmark Contest, inviting young artists from grades K-12 to showcase their creativity. We also participate in the One Book, One County celebration, fostering a shared reading experience across the community.
