"They teamed up with AARF and sent all of their cats there, so I guess no cats will be adopted any time soon"
"Now that they have teamed up with AARF don’t expect to adopt any more animals! We went out to get an animal today and were turned down because we were going to keep the coonhound that we were trying to adopt outside in a nice kennel on 8 acres with a nice warm heated doghouse!"
"I adopted Thor....a/k/a Hawkeye from Boyd County Animal Shelter. I think they do a wonderful job showcasing each dog in pictures and video. I'm not a person who can go into the kennel and shop. Breaks my heart to bad. ...I'm sure there are other people out there the same way. The dogs are clean and no fleas. I have had several questions after the adoption and they were more than happy to answer. The fee is $75 and they come with a certificate for a free rabies shot and spay/neuter. Don't hesitate to adopt your next baby from Boyd County Animal Shelter!"
"We adopted a three month old black and white lab mix almost a year ago to the day. She arrived with two other dogs, her siblings I assume, but she was the runt and the quietest so we picked her. They had not had a chance to cat test her- we have a cat at home (which we adopted from here as well!)- but they allowed us into the cat room with her to see how she reacted to the cats in there. We felt safe with her reaction to them and she has never even attempted to harm our cat or ANY cat. In fact, our cat almost bullies her, even though she's more than five times her size today! I appreciate how the employees allowed me to check how she'd react to cats, if they hadn't we wouldn't have her today. Her name is Ollie."
"We are the family who adopted Jetauna from the BCAS, she was with our family for a week before she killed our 4 lb Chihuahua in our home. Please be careful when trying to pair these animals with other's bc they are bred killing machines... I'm not at all upset with the animal herself however the so called professionals who runs this place, Danielle in particular, should have expressed the dangers of this pairing with my wife and family and simply put just rejected their request for adoption. Because at the end of the day are you really gonna be able to assess whether or not this animal and the one you have will be able to coincide with each other in the 30mins allotted."
