Dr. Sun's medical journey began at the esteemed Secondary Military Medical School in Shanghai, China, where he graduated in 1985. Following his graduation, he honed his skills as a surgical resident in Shanghai until 1991, before moving to the United States. In the U.S., he pursued graduate studies in molecular genetics at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, and completed his medical residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in 1997. Between 2001 and 2005, Dr. Sun served as a hospital doctor, caring for acutely ill patients at Bethesda North Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital.
Since 2005, Dr. Sun has been an integral part of Group Health Associates, where he collaborates with fellow gastroenterologists and primary care physicians to provide comprehensive care. Dr. Sun is passionate about helping patients achieve full recovery from gastrointestinal illnesses, and he finds immense satisfaction in seeing his patients lead healthier, happier lives after treatment.
Beyond his professional commitments, Dr. Sun is a family-oriented individual who enjoys participating in his children's educational and sports activities. He also loves traveling whenever possible.
